Dum Laga Ke India Review
Food lovers and fans of Ranveer Brar, this miniseries is educational, not just in terms of food but also history. If you have subscribed to Brar’s Youtube channel, you probably know he knows his business. The celebrity chef loves to share his knowledge about food with his fans.
This series is no different. Brar has presented to his viewers India’s diverse delicacies. We also come to know that our favourite chef is also a talented actor and dancer as well as a good singer. Honestly, is there anything that Ranveer Brar cannot do?
Dum Laga Ke India is sponsored by Biryani By Kilo. The show, as the name suggests, is majorly focused on Dum Biryani but also informs about other food items. However, it’s too obvious that it is a sponsored show. Even though the chef takes us through different restaurants and places, ultimately, it’s Biryani By Kilo that gets the most focus.
There’s nothing wrong with talking about Biryani; honestly, the more, the better. However, when you’re watching a show surrounding food, focusing on just one brand a bit too much cheapens the experience and ultimately makes it hollow. The show also feels just a tad bit generic – sure, it’s nice to watch Brar and his guests gobble down delicious delicacies, but ultimately, they don’t do anything new other than focusing on Biryani by the Kilo a bit too much.
Dum Laga Ke India is streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.

This is a message for Ranvir Brar!
I’m disgusted with your Kolkata episode. Why you had to bring in Armaan Malik to represent Kolkata. It’s an insult to Kolkata and all who love the city.
Armaan is hardly a low grade singer who sang off tune mainly. Neither he speaks well nor he’s well informed.
Kindly do another episode on Kolkata with someone really worthy of representing the city, it’s culture and food.
S Banerjee.
