Series Overview

The Golden Spoon (금수저) is a drama-thriller TV series directed by Song Hyun-wook and stars Yook Sung-jae, Lee Jong-won, Jung Chae-yeon, Yeon Woo and Choi Dae-chul, alongside other cast members.

The series takes over MBC’s Friday-Saturday 10 PM KST timeslot, previously occupied by Big Mouth. The series is based on the webcomic Geumsujeo by gp04fb on Naver.

Lee Seung-cheon is a poor student whose family isn’t able to afford much. Tired of not being able to enjoy the niceties of life, Seung-cheon meets a mysterious old woman who gives him a mysterious golden spoon. He can use the spoon to switch lives with another person, but he only gets three chances to make up his mind. So, will Seung-cheon choose his own family or give it all away for a life of wealth and luxury?

Disney+ synopsis of the show reads: “A child from a poor family acquires a “golden spoon” that can swap him with his rich friend and allow him a life that he always dreamed of.”

The series will stream from September 23 to November 12, 2022, at 10 PM KST on MBC. The Golden Spoon episode 13 will release on November 4, 2022, at 8 PM IST on Disney+.

The Golden Spoon Episode 13 Predictions

Seung-cheon goes back to his life and it seems like Ju-hee knows all about the swap. Tae-yong once again faces his fears and 10 years’ worth of memories he has no idea about. Yeo-jin is surprised by what has happened and takes matters into her own hands, but this time by aiming at Seung-cheon’s father.

Jun-tae’s life seems to be in danger and Seung-cheon is not safe either. Seung-cheon may soon have to return to being Hwang Tae-yong, but will he break his promise to Ju-hee?

The Golden Spoon Episode 12 Recap

Things start to get better between Seung-cheon and Ju-hee but new suspicions arise within her as she notices things that she has ignored till now. On the other hand, Tae-yong is all ready to get back to his new life, but his repeated scares have alerted Seung-cheon who knows how to take care of the situation.

On the other hand, Hyun-do has something big planned for Lee Cheol while some secrets are slowly being brought to light. Seung-cheon manages to swap Tae-yong’s golden spoon but when Tae-yong refuses the swap, he is startled and is unable to let go of this matter.

Finally, their birthday arrives and seeing Hyun-do about to come face to face with Tae-yong has put him in a stupor, but that is until he realises that the swap hasn’t happened. Questioning the rule for a moment, things come to light when Lee Cheol arrives and recognises Seung-cheon as his son, proving that the swap has indeed taken place, but only on Lee Cheol’s arrival.
