Bad Prosecutor: Character Posters of Upcoming Comedy Action Kdrama Released

Bad Prosecutor is an upcoming South Korean drama series which will follow the story of a prosecutor who truly punishes corrupt powers in his own unique way. Literal English translation of the Korean title says True Sword Battle and is directed by Kim Seong-ho and the screenplay is written by Im Young-bin.

The lead cast of the series includes Doh Kyung-soo as Jin Jung, A prosecutor in the 3rd division of the Central District Prosecutors’ Office who stands on the side of the underprivileged. Lee Se-hee is Shin A-ra, a senior prosecutor at the Central District Prosecutors’ Office with perfect work skills and social skills.

Along with Ha Jun as Oh Do-hwan, Lee Si-eon as Go Joong-do, Kim Sang-ho as Park Jae-kyung, Kim Tae-woo as Kim Tae-ho, Yeon Jun-seok as Lee Chul-gi, Joo Bo-young as Baek Eun-ji, Choi Gwang-il as Lee Jang-won, Lee Hyo-na as Park Ye-young and Yoon Jung-seop as Investigator Park.

EXO’s D.O. as Jin Jung

Bad Prosecutor is a story about a prosecutor named Jin Jung who is armed with bad manners and delinquency. He breaks down the sanctuaries created by wealth and power, and he even takes down the greedy people living in those sanctuaries.

He uses expedient methods over conventional ones, tricks over standard procedures, and delinquency over sincerity in order to stop the corrupt authorities from undermining society. The revealed character poster of Jin Jung by KBS also says, “I became a prosecutor because of people like you,”

Lee Se-hee as Shin A-ra

In the drama, Shin A-ra will be the opposite counterpart of Jin Jung, who believes in the power of law and order. As her character poster says, ‘how did a disorderly/nuisance person like you become a prosecutor.’ While other characters also have their own taglines that describe the kind of character they are.

Like the character of Ha Jun played by Oh Do-hwan, who is holding a telephone in his hand says, ‘Give me something bigger! Befitting an ace swordsman.’ Kim Sang Ho, who plays Park Jae Kyung, the head of the Civil Service Office of the Central Prosecutor’s Office, says a responsible remark, ‘I finish my volunteer work in the service room. I won’t hand it over to others!’

The character of Lee Si-eon as Go Joong-do, who is a hacker with obscure skills and works with Jin Jung says, ‘Jingeom! How many documents are left of my employees?’ and Joo Bo-young as Baek Eun-ji, who is the daughter of the president of the National Organization, displays her power as her character poster says, ‘I dare you to touch even a single hair strand of mine’.

Meanwhile, the character is played by Kim Tae-woo as Kim Tae-ho, who is the chief prosecutor of the crime department. His poster reveals that he supports Jin Jung as he says, ‘Do what you want to do, don’t worry about anything as I have your back.’

The Kdrama is scheduled to premiere on KBS2 on 5 October 2022 and will air every Wednesday and Thursday at 09:50 PM KST and it is also said to be coming on Netflix as well.
