Rush Hour is the new collaborative project between R&B singer-songwriter Crush, who is joined by the BTS member J-Hope, for a funky groovy digital single. The singer was discharged from the military in August 2022, making Rush Hour his first release since completing his service.
Crush had been teasing his new song since last week with retro-style moving posters and concept photo stills but it was only yesterday, that it was revealed to be a collaboration song with J-Hope. Before the teaser release, Crush had posted a lyric teaser where the sound seems to have hip-hop instrumental mixed with some funky sounds like in the retro era.
In the teaser, the first thing we see is a bright yellow taxi, while people are standing and talking to each other. As the drum beats start we see that a group of runners in blue t-shirts are running back in reverse. Cut to a bird’s eye-view shot of the singer Crush wearing a yellow hat and singing ‘Hey ladies, gentlemen, do what you wanna do, baby.’

Simultaneously, he is joined by a group of dancers as the singer also rhythmically moves to the music. Followed by the last brief shot where the dancers are making gestures like urging you to bust a move, as Crush moves towards the camera while pointing his finger towards it. Considering it features J-Hope, we could see both the South Korean singers dancing to their beats in the music video.
Previously Crush featured on Psy’s Happier song from the veteran singer’s ‘Psy 9th’ studio album back in April, which was released while he was still serving his mandatory military service. Meanwhile, J-Hope recently debuted with his first solo project a few months back with Jack In The Box album, which was also digitally released and debuted at Number 17 on the Billboard 200 chart.
He also enthralled his fans with his performance at Lollapalooza, which was applauded by many for its consistent and hyper stage presence. After his successful debut, J-Hope will be seen next in Rush Hour which will be released on September 22 at 6 PM KST.
