Koffee With Karan Season 7 Episode 10 Recap: Katrina Kaif, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ishaan Khatter are a Happy Vibe

Koffee With Karan Season 7 Episode 10 starts off with the host Karan Johar talking about being the only person who hasn’t been to the Maldives on vacation and got clicked there, as nobody would be interested in that. He prefers to go to London instead and meet the same people he met a few days ago in Bandra. From there he calls upon one of the guests, Katrina Kaif on the show.

The synopsis of the episode reads, “Katrina talks about her big wedding with Vicky and the drones that may or may not have been shot down! While Siddhant swears that he’s single, Ishaan opens up about his ex-factor.” The episode has a runtime of about 51 minutes.

Although the episode is supposed to have 3 guests, Katrina is called upon first for a quick one-to-one chat with Karan Johar. He asks her about her newly married life and how her love story started with Vicky Kaushal. He obviously mentioned that the Koffee couch manifested it and put in a snide remark about not being invited to the wedding.

Katrina Kaif doesn’t shy away from answering the questions with honesty and clarity. Johar also puts in his observation that he suspects Ileana D’Cruz is becoming a part of her big cultural mash-up family, as she was seen in Katrina’s Maldives pics, with her brother. Johar may not have been there but he certainly looks at everyone’s pics from the Maldives.

Following that, he congratulates her on upcoming films, Merry Christmas and Phone Bhooth, which also stars Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ishaan Khatter. And that’s the cue to call upon the two promising actors to the couch. They come out while grooving to the song Vibe Hai by Divine.

While Johar gets schooled about what kind of gesture to make to the song, he asks Siddhant what it was like working with ‘The’ Katrina Kaif and if he was feeling intimidated. He expresses how nervous he was, while Ishaan Khatter is said to be not intimidated by anything. There the focus goes on the second couch to accommodate the three guests.

Johar calls it a nepo kid couch and the seats get shuffled between Ishaan and Siddhant as he wants to feel the nepo vibes. He further tells how Ishaan was the first ‘blue tick’ person on social media to reach out and congratulate him after the Gully Boy teaser was released. He even joined the gym with him and wanted Kaif to invite him to her wedding so he could meet her pretty sisters.

The conversation then flows to Ishaan and his publicised relationship with Ananya Pandey, when Johar asks them about their breakup. Ishaan however, bringing his passive-aggressive energy, questions back to the host that Johar proclaimed that Ananya broke up with him. They don’t delve into who dumped whom and the actor ends it by calling his ex-girlfriend a sweetheart.

Then Johar brings out the round table conversation with Siddhant and how Ananya got the bitter end of it, with all the trolling. They then play the game of actor trolling actor, where they ask each other questions about themselves, like worst habits etc. Which ended with Johar asking Alexa to tell a joke about ghosts which was really not funny.

Finally, the Rapid fire round starts with Ishaan Khatter as he comments that he will just say sex every 10 minutes and win it. He knows what works on the show, and his answers were a reflection of that, with scandalous to humourous answers and some more revelation about his past relationship.

Katrina gave straightforward answers and revealed how Vicky Kaushal danced for 45 minutes to her songs to make her laugh, to the crazy rumour of them shooting down the drones at their wedding. Siddhant was quick with his answers and told how people call him Sidharth instead of Siddhant, and picked bromance with Ishaan over Ananya Pandey.

Koffee With Karan Season 7 Episode 10: Final Thoughts

The Koffee debutante Siddhant Chaturvedi won the round with 49%, although I think Ishaan’s answers were wittier. Leading to the last quiz round as Katrina competes against the other two guests together. Ishaan unleashes his pissed aggressive energy in this round by screaming out the answers and pointing out that the buzzer is of no use, with the slow host giving point to anyone with a loud voice.

They danced on some hook steps and called their celeb connections. The actor duo was clearly winning, yet they settled for a tie-breaker quiz, where Karan Johar dismissed Kaif’s right answer from her own film and got corrected by the staff later. Thus, they gave away the prize to both teams.

The episode overall was much better than the previous ones where the guests put the audience to sleep. They were funny, and loud and pointed out fingers at the host and the show wherever needed and brought fresh vibes in an otherwise, dull season.

Koffee With Karan Season 7 is streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.
