Brooklyn Nine Nine Season 8: Top 5 Moments from the Noicest New York Cops

Brooklyn Nine Nine Season 8 just finally premiered on Netflix after a prolonged wait for fans. One of the best American sitcoms of the 2010s was this show. The series has ended after eight seasons.

George Floyd’s passing had a significant effect on Brooklyn Nine-Nine. It sparked extensive demonstrations all around the country, heated debate ahead of the 2020 election, and the Defund the Police movement. The producers of the show decided to rewrite and trash the first four episodes of Season Eight in order to reflect on this new environment.

Since Amy gave birth to her first child this season, the Nine-Nine has undergone significant changes. Rosa was forced to leave the NYPD due to recent political events, Holt and Kevin split up, and Hitchcock retired and relocated to Brazil. Amy and Holt suggest police reform because community relations with the NYPD are at an all-time low.

In episode 2 of season 8 of the show, everyone from the precinct goes away to captain Holt’s “lake house”, Amy is nervous about Mac’s sleeping schedule and in typical Charles move, Boya offers his solicit advice, to which Amy after a struggle agrees. After putting Mac to sleep Boyal accidentally shuts the door which brings out Amy’s protective mama bear side.

Amy has always strived for her captain’s approval, so when Holt makes small talk with her in the 1 episode after she returns from maternity leave she soon comes to know that something is wrong. She tries with all her will power to repair the damage if any and soon discovers tharHolt is going through relationship issues with Kevin.

Charles Becoming Woke

2020 being the year of great disturbance Boyal tries to show the 99 how socially woke he has become. His heart and soul might be in the right place but the execution irritates Terry as Charles is borderline offensive and later he shows Boyal how to be supportive without being disrespectful.

A Parent Trap Situation

After knowing that who he considers his dad figures are separated Jake tries to take the matter into his own hands. He sets up an old scheme Parent Trap situation to make Holt and Kevin a couple again. Peralta messes with their calendars and plans several things to bring the formal couple close. The chaos in this episode just warms our hearts.

The PB&J friendship

A season without Jake and Doug Judy’s friendship would be a season that’s incomplete. The bond that these two individuals share in unbeatable regardless of one being the cop and the other being a car thief, just like every season episode 5 contains of great music, and even greater outfit changes and later Doug does trick Peralta but the friendship remains unbroken.
