Loki Season 2 might be the first Marvel Series to get the green light for another season. Disney+ has officially renewed Loki for a second season. The OTT platform revealed the exciting news during the finale’s end credits, when a case file was marked with a stamp saying, Loki will return in season 2.
Ever since then the fans were relieved and equally excited to know what will the leading plot of the following series and how long they have to wait for the series to come back. It premiered on 9 June 2021, consisting of six episodes and concluded on July 14. It is part of Phase Four of the MCU that takes place after the events of the film Avengers: Endgame (2019), in which an alternate version of Loki created a new timeline.
To give you some good news, season 2 seems to be in production as the Twitter user @bestoftwh shared new behind-the-scenes images from the set of Marvel Studios, which is filming Season 2 right now. In the photos, Hiddleston is seen in his TVA attire as he sits down in a McDonald’s restaurant, although the exact location of the McDonald’s is unknown.

In the pictures, we can see the actor in the McDonald’s and from it, the fans have concluded that the scene must be from the same day of shooting as the ones featuring Sylvie in a McDonald’s uniform, which seemingly took place in the 1970s. In the last season, Loki was brought to the mysterious Time Variance Authority (TVA), a bureaucratic organization that exists outside of time and space and monitors the timeline.
They give Loki a choice either to face being erased from existence due to being a time-variant or help fix the timeline and stop a greater threat. In which he ends up trapped in his own crime thriller, travelling through time. And in other news, it is also reported that director Kate Herron will not return to lead the second season.
