Netflix’s Thar trailer is out now! This upcoming thriller marks the teaming of the father-son duo, Anil Kapoor and Harshvarrdhan Kapoor, the second time after Vikramaditya Motwane’s Ak vs AK. Directed by Raj Singh Chaudhary, the trailer of the film is rather gritty and, reminds audiences a lot of the ambience of the 2007 thriller Manorama Six Feet Under. Director Chaudhary has also written the screenplay along with co-writer Anurag Kashyap, who has contributed the dialogues in this upcoming title.
The trailer for Thar shows that the film is set in the 1980s, Rajasthan. We meet Harshvarrdhan Kapoor’s character, Siddharth, an antique dealer who visits the village the story is set in. The village has recently been rocked by a series of violent killings which are being investigated by Senior Kapoor’s character, Surekha Singh. However, when the two cross paths it looks far from the only time they are going to have. The trailer ends with an interesting dialogue from Senior Kapoor that hints on the ultimate villain necessarily is not the bad guy but, can also be the good guy, the supporting characters as well as the heroine.
The Thar trailer description reads: “Mysteries and mirages, twists and turns. In the heart of an unforgiving desert, unfolds a gritty thriller, unlike any other.” The film is a mix of intriguing characters, a thrilling plotline and a picturesque view of arid deserts that will keep the audience on the edge of their seats till the end.

The film is going to star both Senior and Junior Kapoors along with the legendary actor Satish Kaushik and the versatile Fatima Sana Shaikh.
