Outer Range Trailer: Josh Brolin Swirls Amidst Unsettling Paranormal Mysteries

Amazon Prime Video’s Outer Range trailer is out now! The upcoming series looks like a promising ride down the lanes of the genre of mystery and supernatural horror. Set against a Western farm/ranch backdrop, the mystery thriller is created by Brian Watkins and, produced by Amazon Studios, Flame Ventures and Plan B Entertainment. The executive producers for the series include Brolin himself along with Zev Borow, Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner, Brad Pitt, Heather Rae and Brian Watkins.

The Outer Range trailer shows Josh Brolin in the character of Royal, a rancher fighting for his land and family. We see the entry of Autumn, played by Imogen Poots, whose arrival works as a trigger for an unfathomable mystery that lies at the edge of Wyoming’s wilderness. The trailer looks like a thrilling fable seasoned with wry humour and supernatural annotations. Much like Jordan Peele’s upcoming film, Nope the trailer is a reminder to grapple with the unknown.

Amazon Prime Video’s official YouTube channel suggests: “At the onset of the series, the Abbotts are coping with the disappearance of daughter-in-law Rebecca. They are pushed further to the brink when the Tillersons (the gaudy owners of the neighbouring profit-driven ranch) make a play for their land. An untimely death in the community sets off a chain of tension-filled events, and seemingly small-town, soil-bound troubles come to a head with the arrival of a mysterious black void in the Abbotts’ west pasture. Wild revelations unfold as Royal fights to protect his family; through his eyes, we begin to see how time contains secrets held in the past and unsettling mysteries foreshadowed.”
