Oscars 2022: Netflix Leads With 27 Nominations; The Power of the Dog, Don’t Look Up and Others

The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences released their Oscars 2022 nominations today, with Netflix leading the pack with 27 nods across 10 titles and 17 categories. With 12 nominations, The Power of the Dog was the most nominated of all the films. Jane Campion (TPOTD) is the first woman to be nominated for Best Director at the Academy Awards twice. Ari Wegner is the second woman to receive a Cinematography nomination.
