Netflix Documentaries to Watch: On February 2, Netflix released a documentary film called The Tinder Swindler. The documentary is about a conman named Shimon Hayut who changed his identity to Simon Leviev on a dating app. Simon posed as a wealthy man and often went on dates with rich women. He would lie about being in financial distress and borrowing a huge amount of money from these women. After borrowing the money, he would either ghost them or end it, causing financial and emotional damage to these women. Several women came together in this documentary to share how they met Simon and he lied. The documentary has sent across a sense of alarm among many people.
Just like The Tinder Swindler, several documentaries will shock your sense. Not all are based on dating apps. But the criminals featured in it do something that will immediately send you into alert mode. These documentaries are available on Netflix and will prove a great weekend binge if that’s your favourite genre.
