[Bless The Harts Episode 9 Spoilers Ahead]
Bless the Harts Season 2 premiered on 27th September 2020 on Disney+ Hotstar. The American adult animated sitcom is created by Emily Spivey for the Fox Broadcasting Company. Bless the Harts episode 9 is directed by Albert Calleros, Valerie Fletcher, and Samantha Arnett. The voice cast includes Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Jillian Bell, Ike Barinholtz, Fortune Feimster, and more.
Jenny Needs A Raise!
It’s another fine day in Greenpoint and the Harts have their own problems to deal with. Jenny is trying to figure out a ladylike manner to hint towards a raise and not ask for it directly! Her efforts are stumbled on by a toilet-invader who has blocked a ladies toilet cubicle for almost 35 minutes and won’t follow the female-washroom protocol and now Jenny has to bond with her, take her orders directly from the toilet, and somehow get a raise! Easy, right?
On the other hand, Betty goes to attend Violet’s PTM with the sole intention of seeing her high school teacher crush who is not into her in any shape or form and even asked for a restraining order against her back in the day. Pretty embarrassing! And Betty’s heart is crushed. Bless The Harts Episode 9, titled Invasion of the Potty Snatcher, has both Betty and Jenny in their own plotlines and Jenny brings forth the idea and definition of what is expected to be ladylike.
As Jenny walks on the path of introspection, she’s forced to reconsider why the absurd notion of what’s “ladylike” is entitled to be served by women like Jenny who are broke or women like the toilet lady who is afraid to come out of the cubicle which is symbolic here. Women have been the victims of social structure for the longest of time and are asked to change on every step to take. It is time that we break free from the shackles of these boundaries imposed on women for centuries and this is the entire idea of Jenny’s dilemma and need, and it’s valid.
I’ve talked about Wayne being one wonderful boyfriend and support system to Jenny and the same happens in Bless The Harts Episode 9. Wayne goes all Die Hard through the restaurant vent to help Jenny and it’s adorable, though sometimes unnerving. Lastly, Betty treating Violet’s parent-teacher conference as her glorious and all glam return to the high school, trying to attract the attention of a teacher who was there while she was in her prime days is just bad.
Stream It or Skip It
STREAM IT! While the plot-points of Bless The Harts Episode 9 are not that well-defined, it is still a good one-time watch and nothing above that! Since there have been better episodes this season, the expectations are higher than this. At certain points, you might feel it’s men’s washroom vs women’s washroom, and that’s quite funny.
