The best thing the Oscars did was add the animation category in their award show in 2001. Since then, so many films started to kick and breakthrough in the world’s most famous award show. Speaking of that, there are plenty of Oscar winning animated movies of the last decade, which make it so hard for us ever to forget them. Can we even forget the Let it go song from Frozen? I believe, no!

Toy Story 4 (2019)

Toy Story has always been every 90s kids favourite movie of all time. Who won’t want to witness their dolls coming to life, talkign and playing with them? Surely that would be exciting. Now that the same old crew has been shifted to a new place, Woody tries to mingle with the new kid though he misses Andy. During this phase, he meets Forky, a toy that is in an existential crisis. Woody tries to lift his spirit up and they both go on an adventure.

Spider-Man: Into The Spiderverse (2018)

A spider bites Miles Morales, a teenager from a different universe and he becomes the spiderman over there. Yes, it’s no more Peter Parker, it is Miles. When Miles protects his city he encounters every other universe’s spiderman and joins hands with them for a big mission. The animation of Spider-Man: Into The Spiderverse is splendid, making it Oscar-worthy.

Soul (2020)

Soul left so many viewers crying due its beautiful plot. A jazz pianist who succeeds and takes life for granted, has a near-death experience. When he gets stuck in the afterlife, he has to find a way out. When he meets an infant soul, he plans to help it. This is when he also realizes how every minute on earth is worth living.

Coco (2017)

We all would have heard the iconic song that says, “You make me un poco loco, un poquititito loco” and none can deny that it’s not catchy. Not only is this song amazing but also the entire movie, Coco will leave you in happy vibes. The story is about a small chap Miguel, who finds himself in the land of the dead where he fulfills his singer aspiration.

Zootopia (2016)

Zootopia, as the name hints, has animals as its supreme characters. Judy Hopps is the Zootopia police department’s rookie officer who figures out a sinister plan. To show her capabilities to Chief Bogo, she seeks the help of a con-artist, and they both solve the case.

Frozen (2013)

Frozen is the most powerful movie that exists to date. The power, pain and past of Anna and Elsa, their relationship and their independency has inspired so many people. The amount of cosplays witnessed by the world after this movie’s release is unexplainable. One of the best animated movies that will leave an impact in us.

Inside Out – 2015

Inside Out is a witty movie that also teaches us a moral for life. The story is about a 11 year old Riley, who moves to San Francisco. Her five emotions, Fear, Anger, Disgust, Joy and Sadness find it hard to cope with the new life in the new city.

Big Hero 6 – 2014

A young robotics genius, Hiro Hamada, joins with Baymax to avenge the death of his brother Tadashi Hamada. The robot Baymax and Hiro, meet and team up with Hiro’s friends, to form a tech team. Big Hero 6 will leave you sobbing because its both emotional and cheerful.
