But, there have been multiple times when the intimate scenes have tested our limits, be it Sansa’s rape scene or Arya having sex for the first time or even Jamie and Cersei getting in on it in the very first episode! However, there is one particular scene that can be termed anything but awkward in its truest sense and it has to be watching Emilia Clarke’s character Daenerys Targaryen getting raped after being married off to her then-new husband Khal Drogo (played by Jason Momoa).
The scene is triggering, yes. But mostly, it is awkward in nature as we watch a grunting Drogo use his wife, who cries all the while. It is embarrassing later on when Daenerys actually ends up falling in love with the very same man who raped her! You can watch now on Max.

The Idol
The Weeknd should clearly not act and Sam Levinson should stop using sex and skin show to run his creations. The Idol possibly has the worst sex scenes in television history but the one that takes the cake is when Tedros (The Weeknd) and Jocelyn (Lily-Rose Depp) end up getting intimate on the day Tedros brings his entire cult to Joss’ home. The scene is supported by some creepy dirty talk from Tedros and Lily-Rose Depp being a complete sub. Although the weirdest part of all this was Chloe looking at the two have some hardcore, vulgar sex like a voyeur. The show is streaming on Max.
Dark Desire
As steamy as Dark Desire is, you cannot overlook all the times the sex just did not feel right because of the icky way the story was laid out. This hot Netflix commodity was one of the most-watched non-English titles when it came out and we can testify that it was mostly to see how this series has all the right ingredients to make a raunchy romance awkward. The answer to your curious why is that the hottie in this series played by Alejandro Speitzer (named Dario) does not hold back when it comes to sex and ends up sleeping with both the mother and the daughter together giving us all the creeps. Fleabag
Fleabag is one of those shows that handles the topic of sex, masturbation, orgasm and other associated things rather gracefully, so you gotta know that this show being on this list means there is something hilarious that Phoebe Waller-Bridge has put across that we can never get over. If you are guessing Fleabag masturbating to Obama’s speech, you are damn well right!
This scene comes in the first episode, so you do not need to go too far to witness the moment where we are introduced to one of Fleabag’s most affectionate boyfriends (Harry) and how once when he was sleeping beside her, she used the time to watch Obama speak as she masturbated and was caught by Harry in the process. Netflix’s sexy shows are a recipe for disaster it seems because Obsession which is another release on the OTT platform does nothing to save itself or its tragic love scenes. The forbidden romance in this series takes it up a notch in American Beauty style where we see the father embark on a journey with his son’s girlfriend. How crazy is that!
