5 Underrated Series on Netflix that Didn’t Make Noise But are Worth Binging

Well, we all love to Netflix and chill, but then again, we watch those shows on Netflix which are either super popular or are close to our hearts. I believe in romance and magic and a lot of drama. So. here are my top 5 picks among the underrated series on Netflix that you can stream right now. Bring out your tub of popcorn and start binging these shows on Netflix, ruining that perfect sleep cycle just like me!

Derry Girls

Derry Girls is a sitcom created by Lisa McGee which revolves around 5 high school students who kind of get into a mess and then work things out. This underrated series on Netflix features Erin (Saoirse-Monica Jackson), her cousin Orla (Louisa Harland), their friends Clare (Nicola Coughlan) and Michelle (Jamie-Lee O’Donnell), and Michelle’s English cousin James (Dylan Llewellyn). It has two seasons, 6 episodes each. We all do miss our school days now more with COVID-19 being on our head, so enjoy this show and relive your memories.

Greenhouse Academy

Have you heard the name Greenhouse Academy? Well, it’s a sci-fi drama series and will surely get you hooked with its plot twists and character revelation. I don’t want to give any spoilers but will surely recommend this to watch. The show has a unique story with a huge cast; this teen drama is one of those shows on Netflix that deserve more mention than it gets. It is based on an Israeli television show, The Greenhouse (Ha-Hamama), created by Giora Chamizer.

The Bold Type

The Bold Type is a story about three best friends working in a publishing house. Being a journalist, this show’s intro attracted me the most. After I started watching it, I couldn’t stop binging this four-season show. It’s one of those shows on Netflix which made me fall in love with its three principal characters Jane Sloan, Kat Edison and Sutton Brady (played by Katie Stevens, Aisha Dee, Meghann Fahy). This underrated series on Netflix seriously needs to be hyped more. It has friendship, sassiness, boldness, societal topics, love and drama!

Lovesick

Lovesick, starring Amybeth McNulty, Geraldine James, R.H. Thomson, is a tv show with a story that revolves around three friends. It’s a feel-good series that comes with a mix of comedy and romance with an outstanding script created by Moira Walley-Beckett. I have no clue why this underrated series on Netflix hasn’t found more fanfare.

Atypical

Many may have heard the name of Atypical as just another one of those shows on Netflix, but how many of you have watched it? Well, it’s a rom-com drama series, and it’s my genre because I do kind of search for these kinds of series or movies. So, I gave it a shot. The story is about an autistic boy who decides to plunge into the romantic side of life. I mean, why not. Starring Keir Gilchrist as Sam, Brigette Lundy Paine as Casey and other actors in different roles, Atypical is one of those highly underrated series on Netflix that deserve so much more than it gets.
