There’s something about reality TV shows that gets the audience’s gears in motion. Good or bad, there’s a ton of drama to bear witness to and that, my friends, is what a lonely weeknight at home is all about. Regardless of believability or realism, the shows open up a key part of our psyche that can make or break us – you either hate it or guilty love it. There’s no in between and Selling The OC is no different. Thus, for all of us drama llamas out there, we got you covered.
5 Shows Like Selling The OC
1. Selling Sunset (2019)
This one technically started the “Selling Collection” so you know what to expect. The agents at The Oppenheim Group not only sell the most luxurious spaces in LA to the most affluent clients, but they also get into major drama since they believe that relationships are everything. Filled with petty feuds and annoying quips, this one’s as delicious and is it cringy, and we’re here for it.
According to Netflix: “The elite agents at The Oppenheim Group sell the luxe life to affluent buyers in LA. Relationships are everything, and that often means major drama.”

2. Selling Tampa (2021)
According to Netflix: “The agents at the all-female, Black-owned Allure Realty mix business with fun as they rule the waterfront of a hot Tampa luxury real estate market.”
Allure Realty really is a dramatic place to be where almost everyone is backstabbing everyone. Although relationships are everything, trust is something very scarcely found here, and that has its consequences. The drama and petty fights are definitely cringe, but we watch a lot of the ladies’ backstories which are equally problematic and make for genius reality TV content.

3. Real Estate Wars (2017)
Amazon Prime Video describes the series as: “It’s the ultimate turf battle in the O.C., and things get tense when realty and reality collide. John McMonigle was formerly the number one real estate agent in the country, but lost everything when the real estate market crashed, ultimately forcing him into bankruptcy. John, never a man to stay down, rebuilt his empire with five ambitious agents to create The McMonigle Team.”
That description alone is rather explosive and dramatic, but the show itself is quite spicy as well. Do you want to watch some major drama unfold on screen and a rivalry so delicious that it makes you go to the next episode immediately after one ends? Yep, this is it.

3. Snowflake Mountain (2022)
According to Netflix: “Hopelessly entitled or simply in need of tough love? Ten spoiled young adults experience nature without a parental safety net in this reality series.”
Moving away from real estate and to cringe of another kind, Snowflake Mountain is infuriatingly watchable but also leaves you feeling a bit scared to raise kids. Are you going to be like the parents of these entitled kids? Clearly, there are a lot of mixed emotions here but there are some moments that will leave you wanting to hug these kids. On the other hand, it throws major drama on us the moment the series starts, so there’s that!

4. Buried by the Bernards (2021)
Netflix’s description reads: “In this reality series, the bickering but big-hearted Bernards manage their budget-friendly funeral home while helping grieving families say farewell.”
Intriguing is the word I’d use to describe this Netflix show. I mean, that description alone can make anyone do a double take. A reality TV about funeral homes?! Yep, that’s out there. Following the Bernards, who manage their funeral home business – R. Bernard Funeral Services in Memphis, Tennessee. They aren’t the usual family, though, as they often aren’t, and as they do one outrageous thing after another, you are left to watch them with disbelief. Is this really happening? Yes, yes, it is.
