Young Famous and African Season 2 Trailer: New Faces, Bigger Drama and Chaotic Destruction

Young Famous and African Season 2 Trailer promises even bigger chaotic drama brewing among the group, with the addition of some new faces. Created by Peace Hyde and Martin Asare Amankwa, the reality TV show follows a group of young, affluent and famous personalities hailing from South Africa, Nigeria and East Africa.

The recurring cast of the series includes Khanyi Mbau, Diamond Platnumz, Zari ‘The Boss Lady’, Annie Macaulay-Idibia, Innocent ‘2baba’ Idibia, Nadia Nakai, Swanky Jerry, Naked DJ, Kayleigh Schwark, and Andile Ncube. Whereas the new faces include Bonang Matheba, an award-winning television presenter and actress. Fantana – an Afro-Dancehall musician, Luis Munana, a TV personality along with Sebabatso Mothibi and Rosette Ncwana, who are models and even pursuing acting.

The first season of the show found instant popularity among the public, as they were curious to know about the lavish lifestyles of the celebrities who got candid about finding love, rekindling old flames, rebooting struggling relationships and the never-ending drama that followed them everywhere.

From the get-go, we see something similar in the latest trailer as they call the cast Kings and Queens who have achieved the most. But as they say, there cannot be two suns in the sky, nor two emperors on the earth; things will definitely get messy when strong personalities collide and destruction will certainly follow.

Among the new faces, Bonang Matheba describes her as a professional who puts her job first, because money is her topmost priority. Luis Manana raves about his good looks while Fantana is all about sex appeal, which according to her only a few people have.

In the 2-minute 21 seconds long video, we get to see many conflicts brewing among the group. Especially about Diamond Platnumz’s new relationship and the couple’s equation with Zari ‘The Boss Lady’, as the girlfriend says that it has turned into a war zone. While Swanky and Annie have some issues to resolve, as they both claim that they are not cool with each other. While there’s a lot to unpack in the short video, it will for sure make us binge-watch it all when it drops.

The show is scheduled to be released on May 19, 2023, by Netflix.
