Yoo Seung-ho is set to make his full-fledged comeback as the main character of a new Korean drama series, which makes The Perfect Deal release date an even more important day for his fans awaiting his new K-drama’s premiere. The upcoming South Korean crime thriller series (거래) has been directed by Lee Jung-gon and written for screen by Hong Jong-sung. Its story is based on Woonam 20’s webtoon titled Deal, and has been produced by Yoon Hyun-ki and Cho In-yo, under the banner of Playlist Studio.
The forthcoming series is about two young men who accidentally end up kidnapping their own friend. Also known as The Deal Kdrama, the mini web series will be led by Yoo Seung-ho, who was last seen in the KBS2 historical romance drama Moonshine with Lee Hye-ri. In the soon-to-release new Korean series, he will be playing one of the leading roles of the character Lee Jun-Seong, who experiences a tumbling fall from being the football star during his high school years, to a rather desperate adult who will do whatever it takes to gain money.

The Perfect Deal Plot
As the name suggest, The Deal follows two friends who come up with the supposedly “perfect” deal that they can cash in on. Lee Jun-seong and Song Jae-hyo get involved in a kidnapping incident, which leads them to abducting their own friend Park Min-woo, who’s also the only son of a wealthy family. On kidnapping Min-woo, his friends hold him hostage to exact a ransom worth 10 billion won. Even though the trio graduated from high school together, the shift to their twenties wasn’t as seamless as they’d wanted it to be.
Jun-seong was supposed to be the future football star, but with his dreams being shattered, he takes time off and heads over for his military duty. On being discharged, he’s determined to get his life back on track. On the other hand, his friend Min-woo, who used to go by a different name in school is now enrolled at a medical school, but also ends up becoming the mastermind of the said kidnapping incident. Although impulsively instigated, this decision eventually lands the friend circle in a major crisis.

The K-drama stars Yoo Seung-ho as Lee Jun-seong, Yoo Su-bin as Park Min-woo, Kim Dong-hwi as Song Jae-hyo and Lee Joo-young as Cha Soo-an in lead roles. In supporting roles, we will see Baek Ji-won play Min-woo’s mother, Shim Yong-eun as Chief Kim, Jeong Yong-ju as Oh-cheol, and Woo Ji-hyun as Cha Jae-kyung alongside others.

It’s a Wavve original so it will be available for streaming on the South Korean streaming service. However, it’s also been confirmed to stream on Rakuten Viki for international audiences in select countries beyond South Korea like India, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, and continents like Europe, North America and more.
The Perfect Deal Episode 1 Release Date
The first three episodes of the show will premiere at a special screening at the Busan International Film Festival 2023 on October 5. However, The Deal Episode 1 and 2 will subsequently be made available for streaming on the Wavve app for selected regions on October 6, 2023.
