Yakuza Fiancé Episode 7 Recap

Yakuza Fiancé Episode 8 Review

The episode opens with Yoshino visiting a potential college she’s considering for her future. Meanwhile, Nao strategically arranges a private meeting with Yoshino, ensuring Kirishima isn’t around. During their conversation, Nao doesn’t hold back, bluntly labelling Yoshino as unpleasant and unintelligent, suggesting she doesn’t have much to offer. They also discuss Kirishima, with Nao revealing details about his past to Yoshino. By the end of their interaction, they exchange contact information, hinting at further developments.

Later, Yoshino and Kirishima shared a brief outing. This scene carries subtle tension—Yoshino seems intent on analyzing Kirishima, while he appears on the verge of revealing something but ultimately decides against it. These cryptic exchanges, coupled with Kirishima’s evasive demeanour, raise suspicions. When the truth behind his actions and his pursuit of Nao finally comes to light, everything clicks into place.

Yakuza Fiancé Episode 8 Review

Kirishima is portrayed as a calculating and manipulative individual who doesn’t truly care for anyone. His apparent affection for other women is a performance, a rehearsed act designed to win them over. Yet, Yoshino stands apart. Her presence stirs something in him that he has never experienced before—genuine, uncalculated emotions. She is not just someone who understands him but the only person capable of challenging and grounding him. It’s evident that their dynamic is unique, and Yoshino’s strength might be the key to keeping Kirishima in check.

Things are obviously heating up now that we know that Yoshino always knew Kirishima was up to something. She finds out that the reason why Ozu is hunting down both of them is because he is helping Shiori’s goons with whom our protagonists have fought previously. After this, Yoshino clearly urges Kirishima to follow whatever instructions she gives, however, he is too unruly to do that.

The first thing Kirishima does after his conversation with Yoshino is contact Shoma and lie to him about how Yoshino is hiding in a karaoke where he left her. Hearing this, Shoma tells Kirishima that he will kill him if anything happens to Yoshino, and Kirishima states that he would want Shoma dead as well. Apart from that, there is another party that is involved with the goons who want to hunt Kirishima and Yoshino.

They are someone Yoshino has no idea about, and the moment she informs the presence of a red-haired guy to Kirishima, his whole vibe changes, indicating the new guy is bad news. There is another guy called Suo Azami, and he too appears very dangerous. What they want with our protagonists and why they are involving themselves with petty goons is something that even Ozu doesn’t know.

The last half of this episode definitely became more interesting when we saw significant development in the relationship dynamic between Kirishima and Yoshino. Kirishima boldly claims that no one can marry Yoshino and that he is the only one who deserves to be with her. Apparently, he loves her more than anyone else, and this feeling mainly stems from how unhinged Yoshino can be when it is needed.

Verdict

Today’s episode was pretty intense, and it gives us information on how the next episode will be very dangerous for our hero. However, considering Kirishima even bothered to challenge Yoshino, he would win before midnight and, in turn, get a reward from her, I think he is pretty confident about his abilities. If he really does win, it will be interesting to see what Yoshino does to handle this Yandere, who seems more obsessed now.
