Wistoria: Wand and Sword Episode 5 Recap

There have always been some parallels between this anime and Harry Potter, but in today’s episode, the resemblance was especially noticeable. The Grand Magic Festival is finally underway, and Will has vowed to defeat Julius. The first event, called The Sky Race, is strikingly similar to quidditch from Harry Potter. The only real difference is that, instead of riding brooms, the characters are riding dragons.

Fortunately, the focus quickly shifts to the main event, the Crown Attack. To participate in this game, a team needs a combined total of 21,000 credits, with three members joining in. Colette is eager to support Will, so she teams up with him. However, they still need another player with a significant number of credits. Colette takes advantage of Sion’s crush on her and cleverly convinces him to join their team.

When the battle begins, Will’s team surprises everyone with their outstanding performance. They not only overcome every obstacle in their path but do so efficiently and quickly. This is largely due to Colette’s support with her Earth magic, as well as the magical items Will uses to maximize his physical abilities.

But the mood shifts when Julius enters the fray, setting the stage for the main showdown. As the intensity ramps up, Sion, who has been obediently following the rules and Will’s lead, reveals his own agenda, leading to a very gripping second half of the episode.

In the next episode, we might see Will facing off against Sion, who wants to take his revenge. Sion, who is jealous of Will and hates him for having no magic is also salty about the fact that Colette, his crush, likes Will.

Colette, on the other hand, will fight against Julius.
