Wind Breaker Episode 6 Review and Recap – Another Good Fight
Do not get me wrong, I like this episode, but I’m sure just like me, many of you were also a tad bit disappointed with it. Now, there’s a reason for this, we all thought we would finally see the main character, Haruka Sakura, start his battle against Jo, but sadly, that does not happen.
Instead, we see the scuffle between Sako and Toma, which kind of felt a bit dragged on. The episode starts with these two going for a hand-to-hand fight and proving right off the bat, that they have history together. Apparently, it was Toma, who taught Sako how to fight as he used to get bullied a lot. But things happened between them, and because of misunderstandings and differences of views, they now face each other in a fight.

The fight between them felt the most choreographically intense as of yet, but it also felt not so well animated in comparison to other fights that we have seen previously. But that does not mean that we do not see some cool moves, as there are one or two instances, which really impress you with some sharp and unique moves.
The way the relationship between Sako and Toma is shown is very reminiscent of Tokyo Revengers. You get a similar bro bonding vibe from this as well, which is nice to look at, but again, they wasted too much on this segment, and we could have easily gotten a glimpse of the next fight in this episode.

Till now, whatever happened in this anime has been pretty predictable because of all the common shounen tropes, like the power of friendship used here. This is why the show can also come off as overly dramatic and cliche. However, I do not think that to be a bad thing, as it is showing exactly what we knew it would show. Yes, they could have spiced up the storyline in a new way, but I believe it is too early for us to judge.
Verdict

All in all, I’m enjoying this series a lot, even when I could feel the cheesiness of it. The action choreography here is impressive, and the story is overall entertaining, along with some likeable characters, hence, I will definitely recommend this show to everyone who likes a good old Shounen.
