Wind Breaker Episode 3 Review and Recap – 4 Kings Of School
Today’s episode definitely compliments the overall vibe of the anime, which has been very entertaining. The new student who butts head with Sakura on the very first day is Sugishita, with an ingrained devotion towards the current top of Bofurin. Not only that, but he was so in awe of Bofurin, that Sugishita was the only student who was allowed to enter the high school premises, even when he was in middle school.

Thus, when Sakura claimed that he would be the one to be at the top, Sugishita took it as a challenge to the current leader. This kind of proclamation did not sit well with him, and these two hotheads started to fight it out. But what stopped them was an announcement from Umemia, the leader of Bofurin. From the way he addressed the students, it is established, that Umemiya has an eccentric and easygoing character. And even though he is not showing his face, he has a presence about him that makes everyone in the class listen to his voice with admiration and discipline.
Even Sakura wonders what kind of guy is Umemia, who seems so relaxed yet has this much influence on the entire school. We also get to know many things about the school and how the inner circle of Bofurin works. Bofurin has 4 divisions which work directly under the leader. These are Tamon, Jikoku, Zojo, and Komoku, based on the four heavenly kings. Each of these teams has its own subordinates, and Sakura ends up in the Tamon team led by Hiragi, who was also the one who came to help Sakura in the first episode.

This episode was very interesting as we got an idea about the hierarchy that runs in the school. Plus, we see how Sakura is becoming more and more relaxed with his peers, which he could not do in his previous school. He is definitely someone who was mistreated, and now that everybody is accepting him, he is slowly opening up to them. Plus, the fact that we got to see those who will ultimately be the villains of this show, makes this episode a worthwhile one.
And lastly, we finally meet the man, the myth and the legend, Umemiya, the revered and respected leader of Bofurin.

Verdict
I am genuinely enjoying this series, as it is slowly building up to become a good delinquent anime. It is definitely giving me Tokyo Revengers vibes, but, as this has really good animation, many might prefer this over Tokyo Revengers. Whether it will be a great show by the end or not, is something that we have to find out later.
