Christopher Nolan’s 2023 war drama Oppenheimer is making more noise than the bomb detonation the project is based on and we can clearly understand why. For starters, this Nolan movie is coming out three years after we saw Tenet blow our minds and marks the iconic collaboration between the director and actor Cillian Murphy.
Oppenheimer is written, produced, and directed by Christopher Nolan and, is based on the 2005 biography titled American Prometheus by Kai Bird and Martin J. Sherwin. The book as well as the film is on J. Robert Oppenheimer, the theoretical physicist who helped develop the first set of nuclear weapons on the Manhattan Project. It is produced by Syncopy Inc. and Atlas Entertainment.
The film features a big and brilliant cast. Cillian Murphy plays the titular character alongside Emily Blunt as Katherine Oppenheimer, Matt Damon as Leslie Groves, Robert Downey Jr. as Lewis Strauss, Florence Pugh as Jean Tatlock, Josh Hartnett as Ernest Lawrence, Casey Affleck as Boris Pash, Rami Malek as David Hill, Kenneth Branagh as Niels Bohr, Benny Safdie as Edward Teller, Dylan Arnold as Frank Oppenheimer, Gustaf Skarsgård as Hans Bethe, David Krumholtz as Isidor Isaac Rabi, Matthew Modine as Vannevar Bush, David Dastmalchian as William L. Borden, Tom Conti as Albert Einstein amongst many others.
Ahead of the film’s release, there is one major thing that is touring everyone’s heads: which is the ideal screen in India to watch this Nolan film? The film is shot for a 70 mm IMAX screen viewing with the specs being 15 perf / 70mm dual laser, 1.43:1 aspect ratio. Unfortunately, India does not facilitate such a screen. Prasads Multiplex Hyderabad was the only 70 mm IMAX in India but, it no longer functions due to the huge cost required to maintain it. Here, the film will release in 1.9 Xenon or Single Laser. So which screen in India will give you the best experience? We are here with just the list you need!

Don’t you know Broadway IMAX in Coimbatore, Tamilnadu? It’s only Laser IMAX in South India.
Thank you for sharing this valuable information with us 🙂
For Delhi NCR there is also PVR IMAX Logix Noida, Dwarka, IMAX Gurgaon. IMAX Gurgaon (PVR Ambience Mall) infact is as big as rather slightly bigger. Though it does not have laser screen but still it’s huge.
Thank you for sharing this valuable information with us 🙂
Bruhhh… Do you even research beforehand? IMAX Wadala is closed permanently and it’s been 7 months.
For correction Prasads multiplex has stopped showing films in IMAX. They renovated imax auditorium and installed Dolby Atmos, BARCO dual projectors and Dolby 3D. Now there is no IMAX theatre in Hyderabad. And maybe PVR, INOX or Cinepolis could bring IMAX with 3-5ft height.
Thank you so much for leaving us with this valuable piece of information.
