Welcome to Chippendales Episode 6: February 31st

When Welcome to Chippendales Episode 6 opens, we feel that everything is going well with Nick. Irrespective of the differences we have seen him share with Somen in the previous episodes, he seems to land just fine. This feeling is interrupted by Somen dropping in for the nth time at the club, unannounced disturbing Nick’s place and balance. To find a way out of it, Bradford suggests a frustrated Nick formulate a Chippendales tour- taking things global surely will serve both parties whatever they desire.

Nick shares this idea with Somen and they finalize the deal by signing on a napkin that they will share 50 per cent of the earnings between the two, which also means that Somen will not have to pay Nick either. Apart from the deal being verbal and on a piece of napkin, everything seems fine, initially.

But, the rolling stone Somen gets hit by in this episode ranges from a bad business decision to not being careful with his money to being called out by his own mother, leaving our protagonist broken and shattered by the end of the episode. Irene is no help to Somen’s situation either and Ray’s loyalty seems to only have to do everything with violent crimes. Welcome to Chippendales finally takes the courageous step to show us the weaker sides of the characters we have been living with for so long.

Welcome to Chippendales Episode 6: Final Thoughts

Once the bad times start, there is no going back, is there? Well, with Welcome to Chippendales Episode 6 we can be very sure that things are only heading towards worse from now on forward. The episode dedicated itself to who will be on the top as Somen tried to compete with and win over everything negative in his life, be it Nick or the lawsuit or the money that he needs to be more careful about.

However, Kumail Nanjiani’s stellar performance really sold us the most vulnerable side of Somen- a character built on ego and hunger for power. The fact that one would even feel bad for him by the end of this episode says a lot about the actor and how Welcome to Chippendales is keeping us charged with every sort of emotion we have. Additionally, the supporting cast is doing a terrific job too.
