Planning to Watch Black Knight? Here’s All You Need to Know About the Upcoming Sci-Fi Kdrama

Korean dramas are a cult favourite and when you mix it up with this era’s thriving genre, science fiction, one can only imagine the best to come out of it. Black Knight is going to be Netflix’s upcoming treat for us in the same genre. So, if you are a fan of kdramas, sci-fi and dystopias that will sweep you off your feet, this might just be your watch!

Also known as 택배기사 aka Taekbaegisa, the series is written and directed by Cho Ui-seok. It is based on Lee Yoon-gyun’s webtoon Delivery Knight. This Netflix development is produced by Project 318. Ahead of its release, here are some key things that we think you will love to know about the show.

Black Knight Plot/Synopsis

The official Netflix’s description for this upcoming release reads: “In a dystopian future devastated by air pollution, the survival of humanity depends on the Black Knights — and they’re far from your average deliverymen.”

The trailer for the kdrama describes how the Korean peninsula has turned into a desert with only 1% of the human population surviving. In this situation, with the air pollution rising and oxygen levels dropping every moment, the delivery men are the ones letting people live by delivering oxygen to the people there but, the task only gets difficult with time.

Black Knight Release Date and More

The series is scheduled to arrive on Netflix on May 12 2023. With one of Korea’s top visual effects teams being hands-on with this latest release, one can only expect great things to pop on our screens. Like most kdramas, the show will either have 16 one-hour episodes or 32 episodes with a 30-minute runtime. Till now, nothing has been confirmed in regard to that.
