Vinland Saga Season 2 Episode 2 is the second episode of the latest season of one of the most anticipated sequels of this year. Vinland Saga is an action, adventure, and drama series directed by Shuuhei Yabuta and based on an original manga written by Makoto Yukimura. The latest season is being animated by Studio MAPPA.
A tale set in the golden age of Vikings, Vinland Saga follows Thorfinn, son of the greatest warrior ever to set foot in the world, Thors. Even after Thors moves away from the violence he had been embroiled in since his youth, it finds him and his family anyways as he tragically lost his life to the same people he once deemed his fellow warriors. Thorfinn swears vengeance and vows to defeat the person who started it all and to find the fabled Vinland, a paradise somewhere west.
Season 1, or the prologue of the series, saw Thorfinn become a vassal of the newest king of England and Denmark, Canute. However, in a tragic turn of events, he was unable to avenge his dead father by killing Askeladd, as he tragically lost his life trying to save his homeland from being invaded by the Vikings. Thorfinn must now find a new purpose in life, one that doesn’t involve revenge and eating his life in a fruitless pursuit. It is time to see how Thorfinn grows as a person.

Einar and Thorfin have met for the first time, and it is sure to be a long-standing and fruitful companionship. The two are going to spend a lot of time together as they are both slaves of a farmer, which is a very sad statement to consider. They don’t have lives anymore, and their existence is going to be based on serving one person who may or may not be a good human being. Only the strongest mental fortitudes can survive this; it’ll be worth seeing if our protagonists possess that.

Einar and Thorfinn’s first interaction is going to be the most important part of this episode, for it is going to set the tone for the rest of this season, considering Einar is just as important to it now as Thorfinn is. Thorfin has also never been the most interesting character, and it will be nice seeing him with someone a lot livelier than him. The farmer has also been displayed as a decent fellow so far, but that could change at any given moment.
