The much anticipated Bollywood thriller Vikram Vedha has finally made its way to the big screen. It is based on the cult Tamil Language flick of the same name and stars Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan in lead roles.
The film is about a gangster named Vedha, who riddles with an honest cop Vikram, in an attempt to solve a murder/criminal case. The Hindi remake is also helmed by Gayathri-Pushkar.

The film takes core inspiration from the Folklore of Baital Pachisi. ( A story about King Vikram Aditya, and the celestial spirit Baital). Infused with a modern take on thrill and drama.

Ever since the release of Vikram Vedha’s trailer, the fans of the original have been giving their reactions online. Followed by multitudes of comparisons and scene-by-scene analyses.
The film already has the burden of meeting critical and commercial expectations. Although it needs to retain the cult of the original, there is a need to add original elements as well. Therefore, a lot is at stake.
Notably, the music of the film is composed by Sam CS, and the songs are done by Vishal Shekhar. The trailer had glimpses of the OG soundtrack, which forms the hardcore spirit of the film. Apart from the titular actors, the film is also supported by Radhika Apte(Andhadhun, Lust Stories) and Rohit Saraf(Ludo, Mismatched).
Cinematographer P.S Vinod is another constant in both the original and the remake. As a way of retaining the deep-rooted gritty visuals of the source material.
Vikram Vedha is also projected as a return of mass cinema and Bollywood masala in theaters. Furthermore, a wave of expectations is riding on the film, to revive the box office magic of Bollywood.
