Urusei Yatsura is hands down the trendsetter when it comes to the ordinary boy meets the extraordinary girl genre. It is a comedy, romance, and sci-fi anime with a fair amount of gag humour. The series has three directors directing it, including Takahashi Hideya, famous for working on Sword Art Online, Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru, To LOVE-Ru, etc. The others are Kamei Takahiro, who worked on Enen no Shouboutai, Captain Tsubasa (2018), etc, and Kimura Yasuhiro, who worked on Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic.
Episode 16 of Urusei Yatsura can also be called the 16th episode of うる星やつら.
This anime talks about a world where suddenly aliens, called Oni, invade with the intention of defeating humans. On the other hand, we meet Ataru Moroboshi, a lecherous boy who cannot keep his eyes off any beautiful woman that crosses his direction.
His girlfriend, Shinobu, even dumps him for constantly flirting with others and that is when he lands himself in an unexpected mess. People from the government take him to the leader of the aliens, who tells him how in their entire plan to invade the earth, Ataru plays a key role.
One of the aliens will duel Ataru in a game of tag, and if he manages to win, then the aliens will back off. His opponent ends up being Lum, the daughter of the leader.
He manages to defeat her in a not-so-courteous way but finds himself in a different pickle.
When Ataru promises to marry his own girlfriend, Shinobu, Lum mistakes the confession for herself and is quite supportive of the idea. By exercising her position and power as the alien princess, she even moves in with Ataru in his house.
Now, it is up to Ataru to keep a strong hold on his desires while, at the same time, trying to save his already crumbling relationship with his girlfriend.

The plot will most likely focus on the daily life of Lum and our protagonist Ataru Moroboshi. We will see how Ataru encounters more problems with aliens and otherworldly creatures. He will definitely fall in love with every woman apart from his wife and also be brutally rejected by them.
We can also see Rei chasing after Lum, and her running away from him. But Ran will be there to chase after him.

Lum and Ataru will be the main characters for this episode, and we might see their friends accompanying them, including Mendo, Shinobu, Ran, and Rei.
Now that we know many of the family members of the core cast, they can also appear like Ryoko. We will especially be interested in meeting new additions like Ten, the adorable cousin of Lum and Ton chan.

In this episode, we saw how Lum was the reason why Ran acts so neurotic all the time. In their childhood, Lum would often wet her bed and to avoid getting scolded, she would pin the blame on the soft-spoken Ran. This landed her in great trouble in the past.
We also witness Lum trying to make Ataru fall in love with her, but that backfires because of Sakura.
