Unmasked Episode 11 Recap

The episode starts with Cho Jin-man facing reporters outside his office for whatever happened with So-ryong’s confession. At Trigger, Han Do, Gi-ho and Ji-yoon research into all of Hanju’s properties but are swiftly stopped by Dae-yong, who seems to be behaving oddly. Elsewhere, So-ryong gets a call from Wi Jong-u, a reporter from the news department, who shows her Jin-man watching pornography during the vote regarding the Canbyeol case. He further tells her that after Hwang-tae took over, articles regarding Hanju have been completely blocked from being published. In the end, he proposes that they work together from here on out.

That night, Han Do meets Dae-yong who tells him that they will set up a guerilla unit to get deeper into Hanju’s misdeeds since it’s impossible to get any work done at the office. He is surprised to find Na-hee there as well and they try to figure out the deal with the plant that Hae-won had sent over. Han Do proceeds to smash it to find something inside but is more surprised to see So-ryong returning to join the OG team! Of course, the first course of action is getting something to eat (loudly) before getting into how to dismantle Jin-man.

The next day, So-ryong learns that whatever Hae-won has left with them is a proximity-based tracker which is manufactured with a pair and the closer they get to each other, the quicker the lights on them blink. She remembers Hae-won telling her of storing the sculpture in “their final destination” and realises that Hae-won wanted them to find the device. Elsewhere, Dae-yong tells Han Do about the four police officers who placed disciplinary actions for losing evidence in the Seung-won case — Kim Gye-nam is a police station chief and Kim Yong-gyun works security. The rest are dead. Dae-yong tells Han Do that they can’t talk to the police about this since the perpetrators will get tipped off and asks the latter to fact-check everything first.

Han Do goes to meet Han Jeong in order to get information on the remaining two police officers, who remember them from their father’s funeral. We later see Hyeong-tae meeting Jin-man, who is annoyed about So-ryong playing Hae-won’s recording. Jin-man threatens him to try and do something about this mess or he will be demoted. Meanwhile, Han Do meets Kim Yong-gyun, who opens up to him after learning that he’s Dong-hyeok’s son. He tells him that there was nothing they could do after Hanju’s lawyers came in and further mentions that Dong-hyeok was looking into a drug case surrounding Hanju.

So-ryong picks Han Do up on his walk back from the interview and goes straight to Jin-man’s house with the tracker. So-ryong instructs him to stay in the car and call the police in case she doesn’t come back in an hour and shows him her swanky new camera before rushing into the house. Inside, Jin-man tries to bribe her with money and power and then proceeds to threaten her, but So-ryong remains unfazed. She shows him the photo of him watching porn during assembly but Jin-man remains steadfast and eventually asks her to leave. Of course, So-ryong goes on a wild journey to find the other half of the tracker and almost makes her way to the basement. But Jin-man spots her and she rushes out before he can find anything.

Outside, Han Do finds a row of golf bags but figures out that Jin-man doesn’t play golf and it becomes clear to the audience that Jin-man is definitely storing human beings inside the golf bags. Back at the hideout, Han Do figures out that Hanju is definitely hiding something after it becomes clear that Korean maps don’t show the larger reservoir on the villa premises but international maps do.

The next day, they go to a senior centre close to the Hanju estate to learn more about the reservoir and realise that something is amiss about that property. As news spreads about Hae-won’s alleged mental illness that pushed her to take her life, So-ryong gears up with a drone to look over the Hanju property. At Trigger, Na-hee figures out the image from Jin-man’s porn-watching picture and tells Dae-yong about the dark web site that kidnapped and sold girls to VIPs. Meanwhile, So-ryong and team finally get a signal for the tracker under the water in the reservoir.

So-ryong decides to dive underwater and find whatever it is that Hae-won was hinting at and comes across the other half of the tracker attached to a dead body. However, shockingly for her, she realises that she is surrounded by dead bodies all around.

Unmasked Episode 11 Review

Unmasked Episode 11: Kim Hye-soo, Jung Sung-il

Unmasked has gone from zero to a hundred in a matter of minutes and it’s absolutely a shocking turn of events. Episode 11 is nothing short of absolutely horrifying, with more and more details coming to the surface about the Cho family’s misdeeds. I knew it was going to get dirty, but the twists that the series includes are absolutely vile, and I am here for it. Plus, Han Do being totally enamoured by So-ryong is also absolutely adorable.
