Twelve Episode 6 Recap

The episode opens in the past, with Mirr and Kang-ji searching for evil spirits around them, but are unable to get their hands on anyone. However, when Kang-ji learns that Mirr is seeing O-gwi, she advises her to choose better so that they aren’t punished.

In the present, Sa-min attacks Ma-rok in the cave while O-gwi is heartbroken to see his beloved unconscious on the table. Having remembered their past, he immediately attacks Sa-min, killing him after a short fight. He then diverts his attention towards Ma-rok, lamenting about being sealed, unable to move. As he plans to kill Ma-rok, Sa-min comes alive and attacks him once again, but O-gwi stops his attack easily, protecting Mirr as well and taking off with her unconscious body.

Holding on to life, he calls Tae-san and tells him to open Hellmouth and stop Sa-min before he destroys humans, as well as telling him about Mirr. With that, Ma-rok dies, leaving Tae-san and Wong-seung completely heartbroken. The others, too, can’t comprehend losing someone so close to them as they all break down.

After taking a minute to compose himself and remember his friend’s words, Tae-san takes a hammer to the Hellmouth as the others look on. With the Hellmouth now open, the angels get their powers back, but now evil will take over the world, and they must find Mirr and kill Sa-min and O-gwi before closing Hellmouth once again.

As if right on cue, Sa-min puts his evil plans in motion and starts to control humans around him, turning them into mindless zombies. In a flashback, we see Tae-san defeating Hae-tae, and Ma-rok tries to kill him, but he proves to be too powerful, attacking his own family in a fit of craziness. In the end, it’s Tae-san who defeats his mentee and creates the Hellmouth using all of their powers together.

You know what, I think today’s episode is a solid one that delivers the right drama, has some great fight sequences and is all around an entertaining time. I mean, the wigs and the special effects are a bit sus, but I can get behind it. Too bad I hardly know any of these characters well, and so I have to put two and two together in episode 6 while keeping track of who is fighting whom and where we are in the timeline.

SUMMARY

Twelve episode 6 would've been great but it's the fact that we hardly know these people that makes this a bit confusing.
