Twelve Episode 5 Recap

The episode opens with the angels fighting against the entities to save Geum-woo. Do-ni drinks a potion that Bang-wool had given her, and it turns him into a flaming hot Cheeto that can fight like the wind. As the other, too, give it their all to save Geum-woo, Bang-wool, and Mirr fight against a dozen evil spirits, headed by Sa-min. The women, however, fail when Sa-min joins the fight, and he eventually knocks her unconscious while, elsewhere, the spirits find the last Soul Stone.

When the angels come back to headquarters, they learn about the attack on Mirr and Bang-wool and are concerned about what they will do to her. With Ma-rok refusing to let Tae-san attack Sa-min directly, the angels have no other option but to wait and see what to do. Elsewhere, Mirr dreams about her relationship with O-gwi and eventually comes to, coming face to face with Sa-min, who renders her unconscious once again.

Now, on a ritual block, O-gwi starts to have second thoughts about harming his love while Ma-rok takes matters into his own hands without informing anyone. Eventually, the ritual starts, while Ma-rok makes his way to the lair. However, the closer O-gwi gets to completing the ritual, the more he starts to remember his relationship with Mirr, which eventually knocks him unconscious. However, Sa-min starts to use the powers left behind by O-gwi, which eventually envelop him as Ma-rok looks on.

In the end, the ritual is successful, and he immediately attacks Ma-rok, which he quickly blocks and asks him how he has managed to survive this long. But, Ma-rok underestimates Sa-min’s powers and is quickly murdered by him. Meanwhile, O-gwi regains consciousness and thinks back to his last few moments with Mirr before Ma-rok removed her from his memories and sealed him in Hell for Eternity. Is this the turning point for his character?

Twelve Episode 5 Review

Twelve Episode 5: Sung Dong-il
Twelve Episode 5: Sung Dong-il

I’ve never felt as disappointed with a K-drama as I do with Twelve, a show that has neither a cohesive story nor cohesive characters. I feel like I am in the middle of a story where I am not welcome, so I am getting bits and pieces of context that are leaving me even more confused. I don’t understand why we focus on some insignificant things while not going deeper into the important characters and their backstories. It’s honestly baffling. Either way, the series is absolutely terrible, and I don’t know how it will answer all of its questions within 3 episodes.
