Tsurune Season 2 Episode 10 Overview

Tsurune Season 2 Episode 10 Review: Unstable Emotions
Still From Tsurune Season 2

When the first season of this franchise dropped, we did not think it would be able to make a name for itself in the competitive sports anime market. But, it managed to set itself apart by becoming one of the very first anime that solely focuses on Kyudo, a Japanese martial art of archery.

This second season will be directed by Yamamura Takuya, who has worked on fan favourites like Koe no Katachi, Violet Evergarden, Clannad: After Story, and Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! Ren, etc.

Tsuruoka Youta will be directing the music for this series, and we have heard his works on anime like Koe no Katachi, Violet Evergarden, Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica, Hellsing Ultimate, etc.

Kyoto Animation studios will be handling the animation, and we fans can rest assured of the quality as we have already received masterpieces like Koe no Katachi, Violet Evergarden, etc, from them.

Tsurune Season 2 Episode 10 Review and Recap – Revealing Feelings

Tsurune Season 2 Episode 10 Review: Unstable Emotions
Still From Tsurune Season 2

The 10th episode of this beautiful anime is here, and we are back again with its review. Today’s episode starts with a flashback of Nikaido joining the kyudo club and professing that he will be the one taking their team to the nationals to Aragaki. Fast forward to now, and finally, the day comes when Tsujimine and Kazemai will have a mock battle amongst themselves. The boys of Kazemai are extremely happy with this arrangement as now they at last have a chance to prove how they have grown from their last match against Tsujimine. But sadly, even here, Tsujimine wins easily.

But not all is lost, as the Kazemai boys accept that they did much better than in the regional tournament, where they completely lost their composure. But they also observe how Nikaido was very much off his usual form and still performed well.

That is when Fuwa walks in, and Minato being the innocent boy he is, asks for advice to fix their ikiai. He agrees to give some advice on how to work on their form but also asks for something in return. He tells them that Nikaido is holding a pretty serious grudge against Shuu and Minato, and for helping Minato, he wants to know the reason behind it. But because Minato has no idea what the reason can be, he promises to ask Shuu and let him know about this sudden revelation that is news to Minato himself.

Throughout the episode, we see how Nikaido loses composure on multiple occasions. One is when he even lashes out towards his seniors for not practising according to him. Later Masa talks to him and tries to ease things out between them but with no results. Finally, when Nikaido and Minato get stuck in the elevator, he openly showcases distaste towards Minato, and from then on, we see him shedding his mask and showcasing his feelings completely.

Verdict

This episode was more emotional than others, as here, we see the inner conflicts of Nikaido. His volatile emotions are portrayed nicely here, and we get an idea of how much he is struggling with his life and his hatred of others who he thinks are responsible for his uncle’s failure to get a teacher. Hopefully, in the next episode, we will witness where Nikaido’s feelings will lead him to. Watch this anime on HIDIVE.
