Trolley episode 10 starts with Hye-joo waking up in the middle of the night to find Joong-do missing from bed. As she gets up from bed, she goes through her phone and is sad to find Soo-bin hasn’t replied to her text yet.

Joong-do meets Gwi-soon first thing in the morning to clear the air after last night’s heated conversation. She seems to have cooled down a bit and even goes as far as to ask Joong-do to use her for his political campaigns as much as possible. Woo-jae seems to have done his homework here and talked to her before this conversation to make her understand.

Gwi-soon asks him to change the law in return, and Joong-do promises to do so. However, as it turns out, although people are criticising Seung-kyu, the news cannot overshadow the news of Namgoong Sol’s sex work. In any case, they can’t use this instance and propose to find a similar case to use to change the law. Woo-jae looks at Joong-do, mentioning that they might not have to look too far to get what they want.

As Soon-hong comes to the office to meet Joong-do, Hye-joo saves Yeo-jin from her ex-husband, who makes a surprise appearance at the columbarium. Yeo-jin recounts the horrors of her past and mentions how he had murdered their child and almost killed her as well in an act of attempted murder-suicide. Unfortunately, it was only Chae-eun who suffered at the hands of her father.

Meanwhile, Soon-hong subtly threatens Joong-do with Hye-joo’s past to stop him from looking into the real estate speculation. Elsewhere, Soo-bin goes to Yeo-jin’s restaurant and learns about Yeo-jin’s past. When the two finally meet, Soo-bin asks her for 2 million won and informs her of her cooking staff stealing money from her. And then, interestingly, tells her that that’s what it feels like to be betrayed by someone you trust.

Elsewhere, Seung-hee meets Seung-kyu’s family and clears up the confusion surrounding her involvement with leaking the details of Sol and Seung-kyu’s meeting. Outside the restaurant, she again insists on going and accusing Hye-joo of being a murderer in front of everyone since they are suffering because of her lie. A frustrated Ki-young proposes to leave everything behind and go to Australia together, but of course, Seung-hee wants to go deeper into the verbal abuse brought forth by her mother.

Hye-joo, in the midst of work, gets a surprise call from Soo-bin and goes to meet Soo-bin’s acquaintance at a cafe. He lies and says that he’s Ji-hoon’s friend and tries to get information out of Hye-joo by telling her lies. In the end, he learns that it was Ji-hoon’s child that Soo-bin was carrying, and in return, he successfully plants doubt in Hye-joo’s mind.

Elsewhere, Woo-jae informs Joong-do that Soo-bin will return to blackmail him with her pregnancy sooner or later and asks whether she has anything else on him. There seems to be nothing else, and Woo-jae assures him that even if the pregnancy news goes online, they can still use it to their advantage.

In the midst of this conversation, Ki-young calls Joong-do to hand over proof about his mother-in-law and Soon-hong’s involvement in the land speculation case. The call leaves Joong-do shocked, and he goes to Soon-hong with an equally shocking proposal. Meanwhile, Soo-bin calls the pimp to hand over the money so that she can get her phone back.

That night, Hye-joo tells Joong-do about this mystery friend of Ji-hoon’s that she met, and he immediately asks her not to meet him anymore. He airs his issues surrounding the drugs found on Ji-hoon and mentions that it might be Soo-bin’s. In the end, he acknowledges that Soo-bin grew on her but advices her to stay away from her for the family’s wellbeing.

In the end, when Joong-do blames Soo-bin for Ji-hoon’s death, Hye-joo tells him that the unfortunate incident was no one’s fault. Joong-do agrees with her, but being Ji-hoon’s father is unable to see it differently. With no other choice, Hye-joo simply asks him not to tell Soo-bin about the unsent text so that she doesn’t have to live with the guilt of the situation like her.

However, the conversation is not over yet – he tells Hye-joo that Soon-hong got to know about her past and proposes to publicise the incident first. Hye-joo tries to fight against it, and although Joong-do’s reasoning makes sense, she can’t give in easily. Eventually, he tells her that he won’t do anything without her consent.

On a walk, Hye-joo goes to Yeo-jin’s restaurant, wherein she comes across Woo-jae. The three of them sit down to chat. They talk about their bonds with Joong-do and how they have become family from being strangers. Later, after Woo-jae leaves, Hye-joo shares her apprehension about publicising her past with Yeo-jin, who simply asks her to trust her husband’s judgement.

Trolley Episode 10 Ending

When Hye-joo returns home afterwards, she gives in to Joong-do’s request for the greater good. He promises to keep her away from the limelight, whatever happens.

Unfortunately for Hye-joo, the next morning, she is met with reporters at her doorstep, asking whether she killed someone 20 years ago.

Trolley Episode 10 Review

Still From Trolley Episode 10

I am more invested to know what is going on with Yeo-jin and Woo-jae than Hye-joo and her passive behaviour. Also, the less we delve into Soo-bin’s truth, the wilder the theories get in my head. Is there something shocking happening here that encompasses Woo-jae, Yeo-jin, Soo-bin and Joong-do? Are all of them keeping some horrible secret from Hye-joo?

Yeo-jin definitely knows something that Woo-jae doesn’t want anyone to know. The question is, is he doing this on Joong-do’s saying? In all probability, yes; considering how much he seems to be in love with him, I’d say it’s highly likely. But where we stand, there are still some important parts of the puzzle missing that we must know to theorise something more.

Trolley episode 10 is interesting and takes its sweet time to create a mystery. There’s a ton of trauma involved here that need some time to be understood. But the fact that we are still being subjected to Ki-young and Seung-hee should be illegal.

Trolley is streaming on Netflix.
