Toxic Town Review

The plot of the series is based on the real-life events of the Corby poisoning; focusing specifically on on the mothers who gave it their all to fight for their children. Despite the years that passed by, these mothers showed their resilience and their perseverance finally found the light. This is what we see in this show.

Get ready to be captivated by the emotions that you will be put through in this show because there’s a lot that you will be feeling by the end of the show. Not only are you intrigued with how the story plays out, but also by the atrocities that are committed with such ease in the show. While some characters are fictional, we cannot help the emotions that crawl their way into our hearts as the series continues into a new episode.

I have loved how well this case has been taken up and shown in this show. Not only is a certain timeline followed, but you are also able to understand every bit of information presented in front of you. The ease with which everything is brought together stuns me as I find myself captivated by the events taking place on screen.

Meanwhile, the performance put together by the cast needs to be appreciated. Not only do they all bring out the emotions of a mother, but also ensure that we feel them too. From their joy to their helplessness and later their anger and resilience, we see it all and cannot help loving each part of the show. Joie Whittaker and Aimee Lou Wood certainly hit the spotlight with this one they bring together an unsaid companionship of mothers who are in tremendous pain because of what happened to their children. Not only do these two wonderful actors stand out in the crowd, but also put together a performance that is worth talking about.

Finally, I have to say that this is by far one of the best series I’ve come across that is based on a real-life event. It doesn’t just capture the case but also shows us where it began and where it ended. It picks all the right events and brings together a beautiful series that cannot be forgotten any time soon.
