Tomo-chan Is a Girl Episode 2 Preview: When, Where and How to Watch!

One of the first romcom anime of 2023 is here, and it is expected to leave its print as one of the best romantic comedies ever. Tomo-chan Is a Girl episode 2 belongs to the very first season of this new anime franchise, and it is a comedy, drama, and romance that revolves around a bunch of high school students. 

The anime is directed by Nanba Hitoshi, who has worked on Anime like Fullmetal Alchemist, Hajime no Ippo, Gosick, etc. The sound director is Masanori Tsuchiya, who has given music to shows like Plastic Memories, Kenja no Mago, Wotaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii, etc.

The opening song will be Kurae! Telepathy (くらえ! テレパシー)” performed by Maharajan. The ending theme is “yurukuru*love” performed by voice actors Rie Takahashi, Rina Hidaka, Sally Amaki.

Episode 2 of Tomo-chan Is a Girl! can also be called the 2nd episode of Tomo-chan wa Onnanoko! or トモちゃんは女の子!

The story revolves around two childhood friends Tomo Aizawa and Junichirou “Jun” Kubota. They have been inseparable since they were kids, and basically, they are bros for life. Not only do they go to school together, but they also spar and share a healthy competition where Jun can never beat Tomo.

But one day, Jun sees his brother from another mother, Tomo, in a skirt and realises that Tomo is actually a girl. Apparently, he never thought of her as a woman but rather as a boy because of her tomboyish nature.

But that didn’t stop their friendship as Jun still treats Tomo the same and does not differentiate based on her gender. Sadly for her, she is actually in love with him and does not appreciate the fact that he doesn’t see her as a woman but just as his buddy.

Now it is up to Tomo and her friends to try their best to make Jun notice Tomo as a girl and let her escape the Brozone that he has put her into.

We will witness the onesided romance of Tomo, and see how she tries to make Jun notice her. Her best friend, Gundou Misuzu, will be there to help her apathetically. 

Jun is blissfully unaware of Tomo’s feelings, but Tomo will try to change her status from his friend to lover, again and again.

We can expect to see Tomo trying her best to gain the attention of Jun. She will not be alone though, her best friend Misuzu will also be there to help, but as usual, she will pretend she doesn’t care about anything.

Jun will be oblivious to Tomo’s advances, but at the same time, we will see that he genuinely cares for her even though he is a big muscle head who just can not get a hint.
