The second episode of the 2nd season of this much-loved series is finally here, and we saw the story unfold in new directions. So, how did this episode fare anyways? Find out below.
Tokyo Revengers Season 2 Episode 2 Overview

When the first season ended, fans felt endless frustration because of the massive cliffhanger of the last episode that left many questions unanswered. This is why the hype around this anime is insane, and we are sure it will live up to it.
Director Hatsumi Kouichi, who also worked in anime like
Darling in the FranXX, Deadman Wonderland, Hunter x Hunter, etc, will handle the direction for the series. Studio LIDENFILMS which handled the first season of this anime will be returning for this season. They have worked on Koi to Uso, Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches, Yofukashi no Uta, etc.
The opening song will be White Noise (ホワイトノイズ), performed by Official HIGE DANdism, and the ending theme will be Kizutsu kedo, Aishiteru. (傷つけど、愛してる。), performed by TUYU.
I have tried my best to keep the review as spoiler free as possible, but there are certain elements that I had to mention to give proper feedback.

Tokyo Revengers Season 2 Episode 2 Review and Recap – The Problematic Siblings
Another episode of Tokyo Revengers is here, and we are back again with a review of how this episode went. With some of the new characters joining the already heavy cast of this anime, the mystery thickens.

This episode starts right with Takemichi meeting Shiba Hakkai, one of the top dogs of Toman in the future. When we first met him in the previous timeline, he came off as a brash, rude and dangerous person who hates the old members of Toman.
We also get to know that he is an ex-Black Dragon leader who joined Mikey’s gang after Black Dragon and Toman merged. Kazutora also informs us how Hakkai doesn’t shy away from killing people for money, as he killed the last leader of Black Dragon and then took over the gang.
So naturally, when Takemichi meets him in a bowling alley, he is beyond confused and suspicious of him. But what follows is a friendly rivalry between them as in a comic turn of events, Takemichi tries to compete with him in bowling, pool, whack a mole, etc.
But they are not alone; Hinata and Hakkai’s older sister, Yuzuha, is also with them. This whole competition results in a weird position where Hakkai Shiba quickly takes Takemichi as his friend.
But there is another piece of information that nobody expected. Currently, Hakkai is the vice-captain of the second division of Toman under the leadership of Mitsuya. Apparently, Mitsuya is like an older brother to Hakkai, and Hakkai respects him very much.
This episode reveals a great deal about the personality of Shiba Hakkai. He now appears as a decent person who loves and respects his leader and is also an awkward man who freezes up when girls other than his sister talk to him. So questions arise as to why he became the way he did in the future.

The reason definitely has ties with the current member of Black Dragon, with whom we meet towards the end, and the fact that he shares a connection with the Shiba siblings. I will not spoil this part, so I will recommend you to go and watch it for yourself.
Verdict
Tokyo Revengers delivered another great episode, and I cannot wait for the next one to come out, as they ended this episode at a crucial spot. The only issue I will raise about this episode is that it felt like they dragged it out even though they could have shown more. Again that might be because I just wanted to see more. Watch this anime on Hulu.
