Is To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before Going to Have a Sequel?

Jenny Han’s novel To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before has three parts which Netflix has turned into one of the most loved and watched movie series in the last few years.

To All The Boys

But was the last part of To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, Always and Forever, really the last, or is there more to it? Will it have a sequel? Will the audience get another movie to enjoy the characters and adore them once again? Here’s what media reports are saying.

Well, as a Rom-Com lover, I so wished for another instalment of the movie because I couldn’t get over Peter Kavinsky. After all, in real life, where can we find him? So, fictional novels and films are our only getaways, not that I’m disclosing my single life but whatever. I wanted another movie to add to this series. Evidently, the Gods may have listened to me as well as many rom-com lovers like me who prayed for this.

A quick recap of the story: the film revolves around a girl named Lara Jean Song Covey (played by Lana Condor) and her 5 secret love letters, which she wrote but never sent out. Lara Jean has two sisters, one is older than her, and another is younger. Eventually, they did get out to its original name holders thanks to Kitty (Anna Cathcart), the youngest sister. One of them was Peter Kavinsky (Noah Centineo), who becomes Lara’s fake boyfriend. But, as the story unfurls, the couple sticks to each other like a real couple. Well, many hardships come, but they surpass them together and live happily ever after. So what can be the next movie about?

To All The Boys

This new venture is supposed to be a To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before spin-off and made as per Kitty’s views as she was the one who sent off all the letters. If she hadn’t done that, Lara and Peter would have never ended up together. Reportedly, Jenny Han, who is the writer of the three-parter novel, has now started writing for this one along with Siobhan Vivian. She will also be seen as an executive producer of this film.

According to a report from Variety, this will be a series with 30 minute long episodes from Kitty’s point of view. The whole cast might get back, and as we know, Kitty and Peter have a special bonding; we would be seeing a lot of Peter Kavinsky around.

To All The Boys

In the To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before films, we have seen Kitty has a special place in her heart for Peter, and in the third movie, when the Covey sisters came back from their Seoul tour, Kitty was happier than Lara Jean to see Peter. Kitty has been the one who really boosted up Lara and Peter’s relationship, but in these three movies, it hasn’t been so clear. Maybe that’s why the makers of the film wanted a spin-off from Kitty’s point of view.

If the media reports are to be believed, then another one of this franchise is coming. But, for now, let’s wait for an official announcement.
