The Zone Survival Mission Season 2 Episode 4 brings a friend from the past as the zombies from Season 1 return with new upgrades. But the zombies aren’t the only ones returning as we see the return of our sniper Yoo Jae-suk who is back to show his shooting skills to us once again.

The new mission brings Lee Kwang-soo, Yoo Jae-suk and Kwon Yuri to a water park dressed as lifeguards who are welcomed by a bunch of snacks they love. However, the happiness from these doesn’t stay for long when a zombie pops out of nowhere and begins to chase them around the park.

They then get the prompt to use water guns filled with ice water to stop the zombie, but when Kwang-soo finds one, it is taken away by the other two. With this sniper Yoo returns and shows his skill when dealing with the zombie, unaware that every time a zombie is hit by the water, it will multiply.

With this, it doesn’t take long for the zombies to go from one to more than a hundred. Along with this, the zombies are incapable of entering the pool in the park. While it is a good way for the trio to escape, the time stops each time they enter the pool to escape. To add to this, the zombies soon mutate and are able to enter the pool.

On the other hand, there is a safe zone for the trio which only activates for 10 minutes each time. After a big run around the water park, while trying to escape, the trio make their way to the safe zone for a ramyeon break. While they each take turns making use of the ramyeon cooker, Kwang-soo is left with bad luck when the time in the zone runs out while his ramyeon is cooking.

Kwang-soo really does not stop from taking the spotlight today as he spots an upgraded gun and doesn’t tell his teammates for fear of it being snatched from him. Later, he stops near his ramyeon to take a bit while the zombies chase the trio.

Soon after, another message comes along notifying the trio that Yuri’s right arm has gained immunity against the zombies as it had been bitten in season 1 episode 3. With Yuri becoming a half-human half-zombie, her teammates are unsure of what to make out of this and begin running away from Yuri.

Unfortunately, this chaos among team members ends up with Jae-suk getting bitten by the zombies and taken away. With just two members left behind, Yuri promises Kwang-soo that she will protect him. However, this protection doesn’t stay for long as Yuri too gets bitten by more than 100 zombies and is taken away.

Now, Kwang-soo is the only one left behind and tries to make his teammates’ sacrifice worth it, but it doesn’t take long for him to be surrounded by the zombies either. With this, the representatives of humanity fail in this mission.

After the failure, they are told about this new version of the Virus Zone which shows them how humanity continues to fight unexpected viruses even today. The danger is not over, but this doesn’t mean that we will stop fighting.

Summing Up: The Zone Survival Mission Season 2 Episode 4

This episode brought in more fun and a hoard of memories from season 1. The zombies this time weren’t just challenging but also not biased only towards good-looking people which became a topic to share laughs on for us all. On the other hand, while Yuri got a cheat in this episode, Kwang-soo definitely became the spotlight.

Altogether, this was another hilarious episode of The Zone Survival Mission and has got us eager for more from this season.
