-The Zone Survival Mission Episode 5 Review Contains Spoilers-
The Zone Survival Mission episode 5 continues with members Lee Kwang-soo, Yoo Jae-suk and Kwon Yuri still inside the haunted house as they try to get into various S zone rooms to get rid of the time that they have to spend. The members brave themselves to enter these scary rooms and get out of the house as soon as possible.
They even enter one of their first rooms with the ghost on the bed but seeing her break free from the ropes, the three can’t help running outside. However, this isn’t the worst that can happen because when they realise that Yuri doesn’t have much time left to go, they panic even more.

They continue convincing her to hit the quit button but she doesn’t agree and leaves as soon as her time is up. The two left behind once again try to bear with the haunted house somehow. But the ghosts inside are no easy player and they soon run out of the house, hence, failing the mission.

The group once again meet the AI who tells them about the Safety Zone which wanted to show them what it would be like if unexpected situations occur in the future that would require them to isolate themselves. It is not an easy task to maintain a certain distance at all times and this zone showed us that.
The next zone that they are sent to is the B Zone or as later introduced, the Brain Zone. A feast awaits the members as they are asked to stay seated on their chairs at all times and enjoy.

However, if they were to get out of their seats then they would lose lives and also bear a penalty like getting their chairs lifted up or rotating till they get dizzy. The members try to find out the simulations other than them getting out of their chairs that are putting them through these penalties but they are unable to find them until the end.
While they are busy thinking, cuisines from around the world are brought to their table to enjoy, everything from Georgian food to Xiaolongbao, Samosa and more. And we obviously cannot forget the Korean food that can never be skipped as Korean beef is brought to the table for them.
While enjoying the feast, performers make their way to throw the party scene at the three and try to get them to stand up. And it does work as Yuri and Jae-suk are unable to stay seated and join in the party.

Now with one life left with each of the members, Ramyeon makes its way to the group and who would have thought that it is this food that will make them fail their mission? As Jae-suk stands up to ask for more soup, he loses his last life which brings failure for the whole group because they are a team.

This is hard to digest for everyone because they failed such an easy mission because of Jae-suk and his ramen. The AI once again explains the zone to them and lets us know that this Brain Zone was actually Kwang-soo’s brain. The simulations were his emotions and this was a way to show that sometimes our emotions can reach a level where they are capable of affecting those around us.
With this the AI lets them know that having failed three missions already, it will now assign a much easier zone to the three. But will they be able to break out of their failure streak? Let’s wait and find out!
Summing Up: The Zone Survival Mission Episode 5
The Safety Zone continued in this episode and it was absolutely hilarious. While it was nice that the two men tried to make it through the mission after Yuri left, this duo made me laugh out loud.
Up till the point where they ran out of the house, it was absolutely hilarious and would have definitely been the highlight if not for Jae-suk’s ramen incident.
Coming to the B Zone, I am still finding it hard to believe that after everything they went in through, they failed because of some ramen soup. However, the message that this zone gave was very meaningful and brings our attention to the mood of the people around us.
I would even take this and connect it to the importance of mental health which directly affects our mood each day. As long as we are able to keep ourselves mentally healthy, we can avoid the situation of negatively affecting each other.
