All fantasy fiction fans rejoice because The Witcher Season 3 posters are out, and all the cast members look iconic in them. This series is based on the book series by Andrzej Sapkowski and created by Lauren Schmidt Hissrich. It stars Henry Cavill, Freya Allan, Anya Chalotra, Mimi Ndiweni, Joey Batey, Eamon Farren and MyAnna Buring, alongside other cast members. For this season, Stephen Surjik will be coming back to direct a few episodes.
The posters show our favourite characters in active poses, ready to take out the threats coming this season. We see Geralt ready in his fighting stance, swords out, waiting for something to attack him. Yennefer is looking into the distance, perhaps at a sight that may look ominous, inviting situations they may have no control over. Meanwhile, Ciri follows in Geralt’s footsteps, holding the sword. While this is already exciting, the handle also shared that they will be releasing The Witcher Season 3 Trailer soon.
In the teaser, we can see Geralt ingesting the Black Blood potion to give him strength and sharp senses. Clearly, there is something incredibly dark and twisted in the alleyway he just entered. However, this is still not the most difficult thing he will be fighting because there are things coming out from other worlds that they cannot even begin to start fighting with. With the voiceover in the background, we hear Geralt say how this is the first time he has felt real fear.
Considering the kind of experiences this man has been through, this sentence should strike fear in all those present in the world. After the Conjunction of Spheres, the world has been plagued with inexplicable events taking place, including but not limited to Ciri attracting beings that have no business being in this world. While they may have been her protectors, the ones riding horseback sure don’t look it. They are here to capture and perhaps even kill. Now that we know about the pocket worlds existing outside the Conjunction, there are consequences we cannot look past.
The maze where Geralt, Yennefer and Ciri are all stuck seems to be a larger metaphor for what this season will entail. Whether it be loss or a confrontation for which they are way in over their head. Our found family has to deal with powered individuals, new sorcerers and creatures that don’t exist in this world, let alone the methods required to eliminate them. The only way we’ll know what might be coming next is through the trailer, which will be released tomorrow.

Apart from sharing the brilliant posters, the Instagram handle has also shared the release date of the second volume. This means that The Witcher Season 3 Volume 1 will release on June 29, 2023, and Volume 2 will release on July 27, 2023.
