The Wheel of Time Season 2 Episode 7 Ending Explained: Do Rand and Moiraine Make it Out of Cairhien?

The Wheel of Time Season 2 Episode 7 Ending Explained: The latest episode is the seventh one which is titled ‘Daes Dae’mar’. With a runtime of over an hour, the episode is directed by Sanaa Hamri and written by Justine Juel Gillmer. Rafe Judkins is the developer of the series. It is based on the popular high fantasy novel series of the same name by Robert Jordan with Brandon Sanderson.

For the main cast of The Wheel of Time Season 2, we have Rosamund Pike as Moiraine Damodred, Josha Stradowski as Rand al’Thor, Marcus Rutherford as Perrin Aybara, Madeleine Madden as Egwene al’Vere, Zoe Robins as Nynaeve al’Meara, Daniel Henney stars as Lan Mandragoran, Kate Fleetwood as Liandrin Guirale, Priyanka Bose as Alanna Mosvani, Sophie Okonedo as the Amyrlin Seat aka Siuan Sanche, Kate Alexander as Min Farshaw and Hammed Animashaun as Loial. In this season, there is a major cast change- Mat Cauthon is being played by Donal Finn instead of Barney Harris.

Some new characters are entering this universe in the second season. It includes Ceara Coveney as Elayne Trakand, Ayoola Smart as Aviendha, Meera Syal as Verin, Natasha O’Keeffe as Selene, Maja Simonsen as Chiad, Ragga Ragnars as Bain, Jay Duffy as Dain Bornhald, and Rima Te Wiata as Sheriam Bayanar.

The Wheel of Time Season 2 Episode 7 Ending Explained

With the way the last episode ended, it was only natural to see Rand’s interaction with the Armylin Seat, Siuan Sanche in The Wheel of Time Season 2 Episode 7. On his visit to the Armylin Seat at Cairhien, Rand is taken captive by the former to be used as a weapon against the Dark One.

Due to this Rand seeks the help of Lanfear to help him leave Cairhien and go to Falme. During his escape, Rand is with Moiraine and Lan. Lanfear uses her powers to create a distraction for Siuan Sanche as Rand, Lan and Moiraine escape. Earlier in the episode we also learn from Logain while he talks to Lan that Ishamael did not still Moiraine but rather shielded her from the One Power. Now with this knowledge, Rand uses his One Power to cut the shield from around Moiraine so she can channel her powers again.

At the end of The Wheel of Time Season 2 Episode 7, Siuan Sanche finds the trio at the Waygate as they are about to exit Cairhien. However, she is ambushed by Lanfear. We see Lanfear defeating Siuan. Thereafter, she opens the gate and Rand, Moiraine and Lan pass through to go to Falme.
