The Tale of Lady Ok OST: Songs That Bring A Love Story from the Past

The Tale of Lady Ok OST is certainly one that you shouldn’t be missing out on now that the show has come to an end. The historical romance thriller has certainly got us all wrapped in the charm of its wonderful plot, the performance of the actors, and the overall satisfaction it brought to the viewers. So how can we let you miss out on the soundtrack that not only brings back the show’s magic but also leaves us melting in its charm?

The Tale of Lady Ok (옥씨부인전) is set in the Joseon era where a woman takes people by storm. While she is known for many talents, everything she has is a lie. And soon her life is disrupted when a traveller falls in love with her. Directed by Jin Hyeok, the drama stars Im Ji-yeon, Choo Young-woo, Yeonwoo, Kim Jae-won, Lee Jae-won, Sung Dong-il, and other cast members.

The plot of the show is eye-catching, intriguing, and filled with a vibe that pulls you into watching the Kdrama. However, the OST is just as intense and beautifully created, making this show an all-rounder. With the show having finally ended, it is now time to take a look back at the beautiful music of the show that has touched our hearts.

Let’s begin.

The Tale of Lady Ok OST

Hunjung Yeonsuh by aespa Winter

We have to begin with this wonderful song by K-pop girl group aespa’s singer Winter. Not only does her voice convey the confusion and turn of events that happen in the main lead’s life, but also shows her vulnerability and love that is hidden. Winter’s voice is powerful, smooth, and so wonderfully blending with the overall vibe created by the scenes in the music video that it is impossible not to be moved by the song.

Dansimga by Ailee

There is no doubt that Ailee is one of those singers who can bring out the best of many songs. Her voice smoothly glides us through a flurry of emotions and this song suits her so well that we cannot stop the scenes from the show appearing in front of us. This song takes us to an all-new level as we feel the deeply rooted emotions of our favourite characters.

Woodahae by ITZY Lia and Choo Young-woo

This duet is one that not only leaves us surprised by how well their voices match each other but also by the wonderful feelings they bring to us. ITZY’s Lia is surely not to be underestimated as she not only matches Choo Young-woo to perfection, but she also leaves us wanting more from the duo. Not to forget, having the male lead sing this song himself is like a cherry on the cake.

The Tale of Lady Ok by Danny Koo

Violinist Danny Koo brings to us the perfect piece of work that suits the young woman who left us wanting more after the show came to an end. This track beautifully follows the charm of Lady Ok whose life changed in ways that can never be predicted, but she never lost hope and kept moving forward.

The Reason is Love by Bumjin

Who can ever get over the musical magic brought to us by Bumjin, as he brings to us the feelings of the man who lost his heart to the one who waited for him? This song shows his feelings for Koo Deok-i aka Ok Tae-yeong, bringing to us a mesmerising piece of work that is hard not to love.
