JYP Entertainment’s eight-member South Korean boy group is coming back with a blast of energy for their first full-length Japanese album titled The Sound in the upcoming month. Its leading single track has gained quite a name among the fans owing to its rock-based soundscape, as gathered from the previously released trailers of previews of the album.
On January 27, 2023, the official Japanese-based YouTube channel of the K-pop group released the first music video teaser starring the members – Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin, and I.N. A blue streak of lightning overtakes the band members gathered around to create a harmony. The first frame of the video depicts Bang Chan, the leader of the octet, having a go at the drums, but all stays silent except a foreboding music that takes over the scene.

Following this visual, the blue bolt lights up the room, leaving us with a glancing look at the other members as well, who eventually come together as per their choreography’s formation. A final glimpse at them, in the form of a blue silhouette backed by the same thunder-strike, (a commonly used symbol for the group) climbs high as the memorable and vibrant highlight of the video. This image is likely to remind the fans of the group, collectively known as Stays, of the band’s second studio album’s cover, i.e. Noisy, which also featured the track Thunderous ending on a similar (blue) note.
Although the music video is bound to release on the same date as the album release, the titular track audio has also been made available on their original channel, with Bang Chan (3RACHA) as the composer, lyricist and arranger of the song, alongside the other counterparts of the unit – Changbin and Han. D&H (PURPLE NIGHT) has also collaborated as the lyricist with Zack Djurich and Kyle Reynolds participating as co-composers and arrangers of the music.

Stays (fandom name) have been rather blessed this past month as the group even dropped an eccentric animated video of their song CASE 143 – Japanese version on January 22, 2023.
