The Rock’s Transformation for DC’s Black Adam Is Darker Than Ever

Former professional wrestler, Dwayne Johnson also known as ‘ The Rock’ is all set to turn into a monster for a DC comic film. The producer of the film Black Adam Hiram Garcia wants to present Dwayne to the audience in a completely different light. He wants to give him a new avatar.

The first look of the film was shared this year with the world at DC FanDome. It’s not just a mere film it’s so much more than that it is more than just concept art. It’s going to be new and refreshing for the audiences and some unfortunate characters will also be added to Johnson’s Black Adam to make it more interesting.

In his recent interaction with Comicbook.com, Garcia said, “I will tell you that I’m glad you dug the FanDome piece, It was really important for us to set the table and make sure that all the fans knew that we weren’t messing around, and that we weren’t making a soft Black Adam“.

He further added “It was important for us to show that the first guy who approaches him is no longer on the planet. I think that sets the tone that this isn’t a broad movie, this isn’t Shazam!, or anything like that.”

To some fans, the movie Black Adam almost seems like a myth. The Rock was casted for the role way back in 2014, but the movie kept getting delayed due to various reasons. The film still has a lot of progress to make. Both The Rock and Hiram are pretty excited for this character to enter the world of DC.

On the workfront, Garcia is currently focused on the release of Netflix’s Red Notice, starring The Rock, Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot in key roles. Black Adam is set to hit the screens on July 29, 2022.
