The Patient Episode 3 is keeping everyone on their toes, especially after the cliffhanger ending at the end of episode 2 that made fans wish if the premiere was a 3-episode release. The Patient features Steve Carell as Alan Strauss, a therapist and Domhnall Gleeson as Sam Fortner, a serial killer and the new patient of our therapist in question. Actors Linda Emond plays Candace Fortner along with Laura Niemi as Beth Strauss, Andrew Leeds as Ezra Strauss and David Alan Grier as Charlie Addison.
The first two episodes of The Patient have created quite the buzz for their scary representation of how threatening the profession of a therapist can be and also, and the themes of hostage thriller and survival along with mental health issues have been highlighted. The upcoming episode will solidify the plot more and we cannot wait to see what unfolds.

What to Expect From The Patient Episode 3?
In the last episode of the series, we saw Steve Carell’s Alan calling for help from the person he suspects lives with Domhnall Gleeson’s Sam. We get a glimpse of someone walking with a metal rod in hand towards the end and, the episode ends with Alan greeting the unknown entity.
The synopsis for the upcoming episode reads: “Sam’s desire to find a therapeutic solution grows as his inner struggle intensifies; Dr. Strauss brings a new variable into their sessions.” Thus, we will see a new character being introduced. As far as we can say, this new character is going to be Sam’s mother, Candace Fortner, played by Linda Emond. We might get a deeper insight into the issues Sam faces and how it possibly stems from his parenting and growing up.

The Patient Episode 3 is titled ‘Issues’ and is directed by Kevin Bray. It will air on Hulu on Tuesday, September 6, 2022.
