The Mosquito Coast Season 2 Finale is right around the corner after running for more than a month. The Apple TV+ original show is based on the novel of the same name by Paul Theroux and is developed by Tom Bissel and Niel Cross. The series premiered on November 4, 2022, and 9 episodes have been released, each with a total runtime of approximately 45-50 minutes.
Starring Justin Theroux as Allie fox, a radical idealist inventor who is on the run from the U.S government, uprooting his entire family to Mexico to start a new life, and Melissa George as Margot Fox, along with Logan Polish as Dina Fox and Gabriel Bateman as Charlie Fox on the lead roles. The rest of the cast includes Ian Hart, Ariyon Bakare, Natalia Cordova-Buckley, Daniel Raymont, Reed Diamond, Mike Ostroski, Alejandro Akara, Harding Junior, Bruce Chang, Rodrigo Barón, Claudia Pineda, Cosima Cabrera, Fernando Larrañaga and Gabriel Angulo.
Metin Hüseyin (4 episodes), Natalia Beristain (3 episodes), Marisol Adler (2 episodes), Alonso Alvarez (2 episodes), and Stefan Schwartz (2 episodes) are the series directors. Writing credits are given to Paul Theroux, Neil Cross, Tom Bissell, George Cornelius and Ian Scott McCullough.

The previous episode (episode 9) ended on a cliffhanger and left the audience wondering about what might happen next. Dina escaped her parents and started living in the hotel through unfair means. She was lying, cheating and stealing valuable items from residents in the hotel. She was enjoying her time, but soon she started to rethink her choices and considered returning home. She messages Adolfo to ask for advice, but the replies are given by her father instead, who earlier stole the phone. Nevertheless, he successfully convinced her to come back home.
During the last few minutes of the episode, Richard is also seen in the hotel where Dina is. He intended to cause a massive explosion in the place as an act of resistance towards the corporations who have been exploiting the environment. However, he is unaware of Dina’s presence, and the episode ends on that note.

Four separate plots have been parallelly moving forward involving the four lead characters. Margot’s story met a sad end when Richard betrayed her in the previous one. It can be predicted that NSA will not be helping her out further as she lost her only opportunity to present them with solid shreds of evidence. Meanwhile, Allie may successfully be able to take his entire family to the island that he will acquire from Guillermo, but it will not be as easy as it seems since the group of poachers are dangerous people.
The situation involving Dina is hard to predict as the story can move forward both ways, without her or with her. It is most likely that she will survive since the character is vital to the plot. Charlie, however, is expected to fall into another set of problems due to his habit of being careless and impulsive. Minor or major character deaths are to be expected.
The Mosquito Coast Season 2 Finale Release Date
The finale episode, which is episode 10 of the series, will premiere on January 6, 2023, on Apple Tv+.
