The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) has welcomed a new addition with the release of The Marvels, a sequel to Captain Marvel. The film delves into the origins of Larson’s superhero character. Navigating the intricate web of timelines and realities within the dynamic MCU can be a challenge for traditional sequels, where consequences may be altered or invalidated.
The movie generated significant excitement among the audience ever since its announcement. After its release, fans cannot seem to stop appreciating the film and expressing their enjoyment. It feels like the MCU is back with high-quality movies, especially considering that previous Marvel projects did not receive favourable responses from critics and disappointed fans. However, The Marvels takes bold risks that appear to have paid off, judging by the lively X (formerly Twitter) reactions from fans.
Fans have shown their happiness on X (formerly Twitter), one of the viewers tweeted: “As someone who has been a comic book movie fan since around 6 years old, #TheMarvels is truly a Marvel masterpiece. Do not pay attention to negative reviews. This movie is an original, a homage, and a great time from start to finish. Excited for the post-COVID, post-strike MCU.” Another tweet read: “Happy #TheMarvels Day to all who celebrate! Don’t listen to the hate, The Marvels is a triumph and without a doubt the best Marvel film of the year. Read my full review for @StylistMagazine ???? @MarvelUK.”

Some of the fans are still disappointed about the movie as some viewers are pointing out signs of fatigue in the post-Endgame era of the MCU. A viewer tweeted: “The fatigue is evident in post #Endgame era. #TheMarvels has its moments, a brilliant cast in #ImanVellani #BrieLarson #ZaweAshton #TeyonahParris but it is not the marvel we craved for. Desi man’s review of #TheMarvels. #TheMarvelsReview.”
