The Marriage App, aka Matrimillas, is a brand-new Spanish movie that premiered on Netflix. The comedy is directed by Sebastián De Caro (Claudia) and written by Gabriel Korenfeld and Rocio Blanco. With a runtime of 101 minutes, the movie was released on December 7, 2022.

The cast of the movie includes Luisana Lopilato (Pipa) and Juan Minujín (El marginal) as the main characters, and the supporting cast includes Cristina Castaño, Andrea Rincon, Julian Lucero, Santiago Gobernori, Vincent Archain, Aylén Malisani, Betiana Blum, Hernán Montenegro, and Juan Tupac Soler.

The movie is produced by Fernando Abadi, Ariel Checcio, Esteban Mentasti, Horacio Mentasti, and Juan Minujín the story of the movie revolves around a couple whose marriage has turned rather boring, and they are trying to rekindle the flame again. Pedro Onetto gives the music for the movie, and the filming is done in Argentina.

After Belén finds out that Fede has been planning on going to Cancun with his friends, she grows suspicious towards him. Unable to shake her thoughts of betrayal and deception, she also starts to conspire against him. She goes the extra mile every day to gain miles so she can go on a vacation to India with her friend instead.

During dinner, she finally spills that she found out about his vacation plans. Confused and dazed, Fede apologises to her for lying, but she is not convinced. Ultimately, they decide that whoever reaches 1000 miles first gets to go on a vacation, so the war starts.

Who won the bet?

They both start to do things for each other, which will gain them the most points. With small and big gestures, they were committed to completing the challenge. But things soon go south when they become too self-absorbed, and it does affect not only them but also their children.

Belén offers a temporary truce on their challenge, and for the sake of their children, they try to mend their relationship. But little did Fede know that his wife was planning on backstabbing him by getting him drunk and tricking him into fulfilling his sexual fantasy without him even realising it. Annoyed and frustrated, Fede decides to get back at her as she did.

He planned on a fake robbery so he could help his wife and gain miles by saving her. But the plan quickly backfires when Belén discovers that Fede is behind it all. Hurt and confused, she is left distraught upon realising that her husband would go to such lengths for a vacation. Conflicts arise between them, and Fede ends up moving out of the house.

What happened to Belén and Fede?

Both the couple started living their separate lives. They started to grow both in their professional and personal lives. Fede went on to become a chef like he always wanted to, and Belén also found success in her business. Apart, they started to become better individuals. They could also pay more attention to their children and become better parents.

In the end, they finally met after a long time at their son’s basketball game. They started to reminisce about their life together and realised they were still in love. The couple finally made up, and the movie ended with a romantic kissing scene.
