The Longest Night: Everything About Netflix’s Upcoming Spanish Thriller

The Longest Night is an upcoming Spanish Thriller series set to be released on Netflix in July. The story centres around a psychiatric prison where a group of armed men aim to capture an incarcerated serial killer but instead, they are met with resistance from the prison director. The series is directed by Oscar Pedraza, and the screenplay is written by Xose Moraisa and Victorian Sierra Ferreiro.

It is said to have six episodes in total and will take on the audience on an intense chase to capture a criminal. The trailer gives us glimpses of the action-adventure that we can expect in the series.

The cast of the series includes Alberto Ammann as Hugo, Luis Callejo as Simón Lago, Bárbara Goenaga, José Luis García-Pérez as Lennon, Roberto Álamo, Daniel Albaladejo, Cecilia Freire, David Solans as Javi, Jean Cruz as Diego, Roman Rymar as Rubio and Maria Caballero as Laura.

The Longest Night Plot/Synopsis

The official synopsis of the series reads – Armed forces surround a psychiatric prison in order to abduct an incarcerated serial killer, but aren’t prepared for the battle that ensues. It follows the story of the night of December 24th, when a group of armed men surround the Monte Baruca prison and cut off communications with the outside.

Their objective is to capture Simón Lago (Luis Callejo), a dangerous serial killer. If the guards hand him over, the assault will be over in a matter of minutes. But Hugo (Alberto Ammann), the prison warden, refuses to obey and prepares to resist the attack.

The Longest Night Release Date and Trailer
