The Last of Us Episode 2 Twitter Reactions: Fans Mourn Death of Beloved Character

The Last of Us Episode 2 Twitter reactions have simply proclaimed the series to be the current best streaming title. Moreover, the HBO Max series is based on the video game of the same title and stars Pedro Pascal, Bella Ramsey, Gabriel Luna, Nick Offerman, and Merle Dandridge, alongside other cast members. The show is written and executive produced by Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann. And if it wasn’t already clear, the intensity and thrill have made this show one of the best adaptations so far.

HBO Max’s synopsis of the series reads, “The Last of Us takes place 20 years after modern civilization has been destroyed. Joel, a hardened survivor, is hired to smuggle Ellie, a 14-year-old girl, out of an oppressive quarantine zone. What starts as a small job soon becomes a brutal, heartbreaking journey, as they both must traverse the U.S. and depend on each other for survival.” In this week’s episode, Joel and Ellie are seen making their way through the city when they are attacked by Clickers.

This has been one of the most thrilling episodes so far, showcasing how the zombies are nearly indestructible and the death of one of the most important main characters raising the show’s stakes even further. Joel and Ellie are seen speaking to each other about their past with loss and love. The episode also shares a snippet of how the outbreak occurred and how incompetent our systems are at dealing with an outbreak of this kind.

For all those already scarred from the COVID pandemic, this episode just digs the nail deeper and hits a nerve in acknowledging how we’re not ready at all.
